Skylark singing its heart out for this short outing of glorious rough moorland. Front seat view from this hill of the major construction of the double lane Viking Windfarm access road being dug through the moor parallel to the minor once lonely Sandwater to Weisdale Road. Machines and lorries everywhere -non stop digging, moving earth / peat and gravel. All highly sensitive and environmentally controversial with much monitoring. Viking apologised in Sept 20- when cloudy silt residue overflowed into Sandwater Loch. They still have a 'conveniently' confusing sign up to N of road top mast saying whole are is out of bounds where construction is underway -which could be taken as everywhere - no mention of their more lenient web access encouragement.Chris Pearson18/05/2021
