Climbed after my 1st call out as a Coastguard Rescue Volunteer -helping medivac an ill oil rig worker off the (very noisy) SAR helicopter at Tingwall airport. The hill looks over Lax Firth which shows a good variety of small scale drowned coastline features where a rising sea level (post glaciation) has pushed up gravel to form spits, bars and tombolos. The red light on the summit is a warning light for aircraft using the Tingwall Airport runway which lines up pretty much with this hill and is only a mile away.Chris Pearson10/04/2021

Parked near high point on main road. Cars were motoring very quickly. Looked like an old Viking ruined house half way up. Quite gentle.Campbell Singer08/06/2019
