Short boat ride across to the island from Vementry House courtesy Hamish Hunter. Last of Vementry's 6 hills on an ACW circuit. Returned to HU 3059 6031 where Hamish saw me and nipped across to pick me up. 3hrs 20mins needed for the 11.8km circuit with 10mins spent on Muckle Ward and 15 mins on Swarback's Head, otherwise only stopping a few mins at each other hill to take a photo and a GR. The pre-agreed 4 hrs would be sufficient for most active walkers. | jonglew | 03/07/2019 |
With St Magnus Bay charters. Summit #3 of the Vementry P30 challenge, from floating pier. Maybe the best summit on this superb island. | RHW | 27/05/2013 |
