The Ochils Mountaineering Club had a trip to Glen Brittle Campsite planned for last weekend, but the forecast meant most of us bailed on it. A few hardy souls went up anyway and I joined them on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Karen Webber, Andy Moffat, Colin Craig and I, bagged Sgurr Mhic Coinnich (948m) a Munro. Ascending the An Stac screes from Coire Lagan (which was very unsettling).

Then Karen and Colin lead the two pitches, so I could second up onto the Innaccesible Pinnacle (986m) my 190th Munro. That was some experience in the breezy conditions on an exposed shard of rock...... | chillyman8 | 04/05/2023 |
From Memorial hut, up the left hand side of the An Stac screes over and onto summit, Breathtaking views, hot and mostly sunny. | iangalbraith | 14/08/2022 |
Day 3 on Skye, excellent day out climbing 3 Munros with good weather for most of the morning but mist again coming in in the afternoon. | Kevthecat | 05/07/2022 |
Toughest day of the rainy 3. Hard walk in via the an Stac scree slope to get to this one and a few gnarly bits to get to the summit of this one. | akmilne | 29/06/2022 |

Rob and myself from memorial hut.. Perfect weather with the exception of drifting cloud on tops. Climbed path to coire. h
Headed left up edge of coire, avoiding worst scree to belach as advised by Jonah. . Had lunch surveyed the last section to summit at lunch. Crows calling. Jonah did not arrive. Climbed the ridge across grade 2 scramble and airy positions at all times. Summitted alone sitting in front of shattered memorial stone. Descent relentless across ridge then to belach and a scree descent down left side. A few falls leading to summery return walk. Completed all Munro’s on Skye with this summit. . We will return because these are the mountains of great challenge, skill and drama.. The weather however prevails. | david.walker40 | 09/06/2018 |

Ascended on traverse from Sgurr na Banachdich to Sgurr Alasdair. Navigation and ascent not easy and summit very small. Excellent views all round. | quadbarrel | 13/10/2014 |
As for the Inaccessible pinnacle. | isabelle | 21/09/2014 |
Completed this Munro after completing Sgurr Alasdair. Not for the faint hearted due to havig to scramble. Started at 09.30am and finished at 20.15 | Baggieboy | 23/08/2014 |
2nd of 2. After lunch we descended what I'd imagine would be tricky slabs in the wet. Stashed the packs and then an easy enough walk over to Mhic Choinnich. Some scree running to follow before an easy walk out. ~12km, 1400m 8hr. | bowzi | 19/06/2014 |

EKMC bunkhouse weekend. With guide Jonah, Andy Bennett, Anne Dawson , David Black joined by Caroline. Superb day. Beat the rain. But the An Stac screes were horrendous. Route from Memorial hut following same path to a sgurr Dearg then into Coire Lagan up the left of the An Stac screes onto ridge to summit. Roped for small section. | munromurph | 03/05/2014 |
First walk in The Cuillins - absolutley stunning scenary - the best I have seen of anywhere in the UK. Menacing beauty! Did the walk with Rach & Gillian from Skye Guides. Weather was perfect - not a cloud in the sky and the sun was shining. The InPin was good fun and not as difficult as expected. Could be solo'd but best to abseil off. Also did Sgur Mhic and joining ridge. One of my best days in the hills. Descended the scree slopes at the back down to the Lochan which was surprisingly fun and fast to get down. Great great day! | scholesy | 13/10/2013 |
An atempt on the ridge, stopped for bad weather | JamesSDonald | 05/09/2013 |

Epic scrambling particularly on S ridge of Banachdaich and N ridge of MhicChoinnich. | Mark Jackson | 10/07/2013 |
