From parking at .315 S of Auch, down WHW to Allt Kinglass. Up glen past new build and 1st L up Glen Coralan. Cross bridge after 1.5km, continue to high pt then straight up steep grassy mossy slopes to broad ridge. On to Beinn a Chaisteil summit. Down fence line on steep grassy slopes to Mam Lorn and another steep climb, keeping right of crags, to Beinn nam Fuaran. Long but ok descent N to Allt a Chuirn track and dams. Up fence line to almost col, veering R to summit of Beinn Mhanach. Return to col and up Beinn a Chuirn on easy grass. Descent SE then S down easy grass and occasional path to dam. Long but easy walk out on track. Several fords but mainly concrete sleepers or small rocks to stand on which avoided wet feet even in April. Great weather, steep but easy walking on grass and moss. Long day, 8.5hrs, 7.5 walking, 28km and 1665m climbLynnebe04/04/2024
11:00, 12 degrees (18 later) at Auch, light westerlies, fine. Parked at entrance to forestry track on A 82 SE of track to Auch. Biked to Strath Tarabhan then easy ascent on west side of Allt a' Chuirin. Finer viewpoint than Beinn Mhanach; Ben Laoigh nicely framed by Gleann Achadh-innis Chailein. Couldn't resist double bagging Beinn Mhanach as well. 2 hours 40 mins round trip.Wycombe Wanderer22/05/2023
Parked on verge at Auch Estate entrance, up Auch Glen track then followed Allt an Loin almost to the bealach before final steep ascent to Beinn a' Chuirn. Over to Beinn Mhanach then cut SSW and followed Allt a Chuirn back down to the track. Only two Fords now across Allt Kinglass and they could be avoided if water levels high.TRG31826/04/2023
I parked about 2.5k south of the usual parking as it looked safer and took the West Highland away to the Auch Glen. I followed the estate track along the Allt Kinglass. I saw Common Sandpipers, Grey Wagtail, Wheatear, Skylarks, Meadow Pipits and Ravens as I headed up the Glen on a breezy morning which was mostly cloudy with a few breaks and spots of rain in the air. I passed a bit of forest and an old sheep station. At the bealach I headed up grassy path less slopes to Bheinn Mhanach and then went in to Beinn a Chuirn which was in my view the better summit. Return by same route for 15.5 miles in 5 hours 30 minutes. As I got back to the car the rain came in and didn’t stop.isabelle10/06/2022

Parked on A82 near entrance to Auch track. This has more fords than Dagenham, but they were negotiable dryshod. Snow above 2,000' and a fierce NW wind, blowing snow plumes from the summit. Superb views, including the surprise view along Loch Lyon. Too cold to hang about above the snow line, though.Nick Down112/11/2017

Parked at Pubil (end of public road in Glen Lyon) and cycled track along N shore of Loch Lyon to the ford in Gleann Meurain (NN394426) (easily crossed in current dry weather). Then up Beinn Mhanach and traversed across to Beinn a'Chuirn. Retraced to col between the two, and roughly followed the old fence line down to Lon na Cailliche (col to Beinn Achaladair). Then more or less straight up to Achaladair S Top and along ridge to main summit. Continued along ridge, down to col with Beinn a'Chreachain, ascended Meall Buidhe, then Beinn a'Chreachain. Retraced from there and along to the 961m top, before descending grassy slopes back to track in Gleann Cailliche, and return to Pubil.kdbennett11/05/2017

I drove up to Auch via Crianlarich. I bumped into Marishall Sinclair and the Highways Club at the public toilets in Crianlarich. After a quick toilet break I continued to Auch and parked on the verge. I left the car about 10.30 a.m. and walked down the farm road past Auch. I continued along the farm track up Gleann Ach’innis Chailein past the ruin at Ais an t-Sidhean. Where the track forks I took the right hand fork and continued for a further half mile or so before striking up the steep slope towards Beinn Mhanach alongside a fence. From the summit of Beinn Mhanach I had good views in all directions, including down to Loch Lyon and across to Schiehallion and northwest to Ben Nevis. I took in the Munro Top at Beinn Chuirn before retracing my steps to Auch getting back to the car just after five o’clock.langskill12/04/2009

drove with six year old Jamie, up the Auch valley after calling at the house to ask permission over the Glen Coralan wide concrete ford that's only couple of inches deep and almost a kilometere east of the railway viaduct. It's totally broodingly still but with clouds clinging to the tops and gently swirling amongst the crags above us on the back of Beinn Dorain as we head up the long valley. Up west valley and I'm achingly tired as we head to the col between us and back of Beinn an Dotaidh. After the top and summit it starts to rain, quietly but steadily and doesn't stop. All the way down the south side on our return and continuing as we go down the valley, already sopping boots, wade small streams. back at the car we are drenched. get to the major ford at dusk and it's a raging torrent and I'm not prepared to risk going across. We are stuck for the night. Sleep in the car.vegibagger31/08/2005

With friend. After climbing Beinn Dorain and Beinn an Dòthaidh and descending to the col with Beinn Achaladair. We then followed a path contouring round the SE slope of Beinn Achaladair. We noted this as a possible way back from Beinn a’ Chreachain on a future trip. We went to the col with Beinn a’ Chuirn and then diagonally up the mountain towards the col with Beinn Mhanach. We turned before reaching the col to reach the summit of Beinn a’ Chuirn and went on to the summit of Beinn Mhanach. The descent to Srath Tarabhan was slow with acute pain in my right thigh. We walked out through Auch Gleann.pwbellarby06/11/1999
