From Kilpatricks carpark. Up the Slacks NW then E. On to Cochno Hill. Back to Greenside Reservoir & down the S path. Beautiful clear crisp day. 12km, 523m, 3hrs.Lynnebe06/01/2024
Cochno car park to Jaw reservoir, across the land bridge to the fishing hut then having missed a turn to Birny hills off to Craigmore using forestry track. Back to Birny hill using the tracks. Down to Kilmannan reservoir for lunch and off to Craighirst. Some poor direction decisions and some 'off piste' walking before up to Cochno and back to the car park.Buck04/01/2024
From Kilpatrick car park following tracks and paths. Showers most of the walk and great views; The Slacks, Cochno hill and Creigarestie.Buck19/12/2023

Park at Auchnacraig car park and follow signs for Jaw Reservoir. Quite a muddy walk this time of year.RoslynClimbsHills09/10/2021
From Cochno Rd, through community woodland, and then anti-clockwise circuit along grass paths and the occasional track to Cochno Hill - Craighurst - Duncolm (600th Marilyn) - Middle Duncolm - Fynloch Hill - The Stacks, returning via the Greenside Reservoir private road. The only tricky bit was crossing the mainly pathless section between Craighurst and Duncolm. Thankfully it was very dry underfoot after lack of rainfall for weeks. 3.5hrs.summitter25/04/2021
I see that someone has built a small cairn in the past week - I'm not convinced that it's actually on the highest point though.Colin Crawford19/03/2021

Round of Cochno Hill, The Slacks, Fynloch Hill and both Duncolms in superb conditions, snow on the ground and all bogs frozen hard. Microspikes allowed me to cruise over the tops.Colin Crawford03/01/2021
From Cochno CP to Cochno Hill, Craighirst, Birny Hills and Craigmore. 3rd time on Cochno but others don't merit repeat visits. Should have read helpful reports first. Satisfying workout but ruined jacket in forests.lordtonult15/12/2020

I was stretching the limits of lockdown here but I walked from home so surely it counts as an urban constitutional. Nor was I the only person on the hillColin Crawford20/04/2020

Easy from paths to Greenside Reservoir. Not a good idea to cut the corner as there is a track across the summit. On to Craighirst. Pile of stones not obvious in bright sunlight.Thearlaichdubh26/01/2018

From S (Cochno car park NS 5031 7400) via Craigmore, Birny and Craighirst. Descended direct to Cochno Farm although on arrival realised I should have kept E to find path which leaves east access road at NS 50169 74092. Signs at farm say there are veterinary restrictions although I met no-one. Nice 4 Tump circuit for a winter pm; just Craighirst lets the side down.RHW13/12/2015
