While staying on Rossie Ochil estate an extension of my walk to the estate recycling bins. Entered thruogh gate opp Eastfied Farm, followed fence to gate near top then through gate onto hill.Wooden hut screening water tank ? summit but explored other lumps & bumps to keep options open. Returned to estate via the muddy track downhill from hut.Hirta02/01/2024
Very many pheasants and red-legged partridges, but luckily a Friday with no gunmen. If I had known of all the birds, I might have waited until the end of season (1 February).Pete R01/12/2023

After Cloven Craigs, quick dash up field. Back to car, near Ardargie Mains. Just about to leave when a goml turned up. Not sure if seen on this hill or elsewhere. Was unhappy when gave my route, as he considered it implausible and would not accept my word remaining convinced that I had ridden somewhere else. Mistaken ID? Got no path and sheep too although there were none. Take care if parking on this road.fasgadh15/03/2020
quick bag from parking opp gate to the east, pheasant pens/feeders in woodland.robertphillips27/01/2019

Parked as Alda, quick up and down through field and into wood.NormanW06/09/2017
As others - easy parking on verge on N side of hill, gate gives access. Then it's all change. Eastern 1/3 of hill has been clear felled. But easy going up the huge tyre tracks. Summit still wooded, but new water tank being installed, so the summit hut has moved.Minto24/06/2017
P as Alda. Summit is in wood, grassy mound by hut.chrisbien19/03/2017
Straight up field alongside woodland. I was challenged by the farmer on return, who seemed more bemused than angry at my explanationColin Crawford18/02/2017

Five minutes from the minor road. Substantial shelter on the summit.Play2End23/06/2016
Short walk up the side of the wood from Eastfield.Topographer5713/03/2016
Parked on verge by gate at edge of trees (NO092130), usefully out of sight of Eastfield Farm. Docile highland cattle grudgingly vacated the summit after leaving their deposit.alda01/06/2015
