From road / track to south east. Through gate into paddock and up to the lovely wooded summit. Afterwards I found the nearby buried block trig point (my first) thanks to RHW's comments. | Fife Walking | 06/01/2024 |
2nd of 8 Tumps round Glenfarg | Dibs | 02/04/2021 |
2nd hill of 8. From the SE, got a row from a farmer - even though no livestock in any of the fields. He said we should have asked for permission. | The Fife Flyer | 02/04/2021 |
SE summit in copse, W summit pasture with trig block conveniently exposed, gorsy outcrop at 1520611971 N of track jct has largest 240co and gets my vote. NB there's a 240m spot E of that jct in plantation at 1526011883, plus the far NE summit in paddock mentioned by others. Rainy bank holiday Sunday. This p89 visited the day after I completed the subhumps | RHW | 26/05/2019 |
visited all 3 tops plus gorsy top. | Adrian | 25/05/2019 |
parked at the farm visited all 3 | robertphillips | 29/01/2018 |
A straightforward walk up the track to Letham House, over a gate and into the paddock. All three summit bumps covered. | summitter | 19/11/2017 |
Parked on road to south, across dip then up to the various summits | Colin Crawford | 15/11/2017 |
At the sharp bend at the entrance to Letham farm met the farmer in his Landie and he suggested I drive up the road and park before the drive to the house. He offered warnings about a bull, calving cows, and electric fences but none of these caused me a problem. I agree with richtea's assessment, his highest point seems to be 5m above everything else. | NormanW | 06/09/2017 |
P at entrance to Old Fargie. Visited three contenders. | chrisbien | 19/03/2017 |
Leisurely evening ascent from Balvaird Castle car park with Lindsay, Rodd and Deirdre. Visited all three contenders mentioned by richtea. | Janet M | 04/08/2016 |
Drove up and parked at Letham Farm - but that only works if you have friends stabling horses there. Walked across pasture to trees at summit from gate at corner in track. | Minto | 03/10/2015 |
Very pleasant summit, via track from east. Into field through open gate, out over large overgrown stile further north. | alda | 05/02/2015 |
Parked on track going to Letham. This hill is now a paddock. | Play2End | 09/01/2015 |
There are three possible summits for this hill:
NO 1484711815, 1512511765, and 1538012123. My favourite would be the third. | richtea5040 | 17/12/2014 |
