|Round of Montquey, Dunearn, Baspard, Orrock and Stoneyhall. Fairly awkward traverse from Baspard due to gorse.||Thearlaichdubh||29/09/2019|
|Here for the trigpoint. TP:UK log:
From south past the house at Hatton, then to Orrock. After chatting to the house owner she advised there was a small fence to climb and then to follow the very faint track zig zag up the hill which the horses used to take. Well let’s say it had been some time since any horses took this route. It was very hot and steep and had ferns that entangle you and lots of wee hidden holes. Ferns as high as us in places. Couldn’t see a path up though the gorse but luckily (not for Gerry’s heart) we spooked a deer which showed us the way. Tough going all the way there and back, nearly killed us in the heat.||thejackrustles||29/06/2019|
|From Quarry Company car-park up track to Orrock farm buildings, then along steadily rising grassy track to summit - avoiding gorse but not snow storm.||summitter||30/12/2017|
|Gorse and deep grass aplenty. Done after Baspard then dropped to the road back to the car park below Stoneyhall. I really don;t recommend the latter part||Colin Crawford||12/08/2017|
|Via Hatton and Orrock Cottage. Old track to summit area and on to trig.||chrisbien||01/04/2017|
|From Baspard Hill. Ziz-zag down though gorse to col. Shorts & T-shirt not recommended - but not frightful. Across two fences to trig point at summit, which is still well clear of any quarrying. Returned same way, E then SE. Contoured round W end of Baspard Hill, straight across last field to road as it was stubble. Otherwise would have to follow field edges - which still wouldn't be a problem.||Minto||03/02/2016|
|Across the fields and endless fences from the last TUMP. The trig point is still there well away from the quarry face. Came back down through the gorse via the farm road. A hard tick this one.||Play2End||26/02/2015|
|Parked at start of mast track to south. Quarry still a good distance away from pillar.||agentmancuso||21/05/2011|
|From the south, some tough vegetation. Summit still there.||fasgadh||25/08/2008|
