Logged Descriptions  (logged by 26 users)ByDate of Ascent
Along the forestry tracks from the Thornton Road. Summit area felled so a bit of brash and gorse to negotiate once off-track.summitter29/12/2023
Parked off road at cottage to East at forest entrance. Easy tracks then 170m of brash through felled area.NormanW18/04/2022
Parked on verge at corner beside Templebank entrance.duchally11/02/2022
Logging works and very boggy ground this time of year made this walk tougher than it should be but lots of deer running around and the high water level flowing downstream made this a worthwhile visit. There is also a Cross Slab from around AD 700 to 1000 near the A94 which I found interestingSteveeMac19/02/2021
Gamekeeper's cottage unoccupied. Recent logging so summit area now clear but tracks are a boggy mess.Tony S03/12/2020
from the east, across field to track and the top.robertphillips16/12/2019
Weather fair.MountainMac06/10/2018
Walked across a tattie field and found the easy track to the top.Play2End02/11/2017
An evening walk to highest point. Gamekeeper heard me arrive but was ok - hill best avoided during pheasant season.JohnW31/07/2017
Parked on verge on road to E, about 100m of cottage at track junction, but entered wood using grassy track. Current tracks don't seem to match reality on the ground, but easy enough to find the summit. No sign of gamekeeper midday Sunday.Minto28/07/2017

Challenged by the gamekeeper on quad bike, but perfectly friendly when I'd explained what I was aboutColin Crawford29/07/2015

Track from east very boggy in places but easily bypassed, trees no problem, followed by sock change, water pickup and picnic at publess Charleston. Pity we failed to notice the handy roadside bench. 24 of 32.alda30/05/2015
P nr cottage on minor rd NE of hill. Track almost to top which is in fairly open woodland. Deer fencing has been put up and looks like it might be extended.chrisbien13/12/2014
