As DD & JR, a bit too windy for my liking on the summit. Walked to summit over all the tops of the broad ridge, back via the bypass path on S side.Minto08/04/2023
Walked up from Glebe Barn with Jill & Minto. A fabulous sunny day but windy on the summit.Dangerous Dave08/04/2023

Having cycled out from the pier to ascend Sgorr an Fharaidh in the clag my gamble paid off with An Sgurr now being clear. A fine path takes you all the way up with fabulous views all the way. if you have the time you could easily spend a day wandering about the crater.Peterb19/07/2021
Running day trip from Mallaig - Mondays give you 5 hours. Round to Grulin then up An Sgurr, down and through the forest to Laig then up Sgorr an Fharaidh before back to the ferry.quadbarrel21/06/2021

Made it hard for ourselves by starting up the wrong path and then having to cross bracken, heather, brambles and bog. Straightforward when we finally found the well used path. What a summit! Incredible views on a stunning morning.Campbell Singer29/04/2018
Great hill. Would have been easier had we not taken the wrong path at start of ascent. Stunning viewpoint.Jemma Singer29/04/2018

Like many people, I walked up this remarkable little mountain on a day trip by boat (from Arisaig). I got to the summit from the pier in 1h 40 min so had plenty of time to appreciate the situation on a fine sunny day with views as far as Mull and Harris. The rock overhangs below the summit and the entire summit ridge is fascinating, yet reached with just one short steep (still easy) section. Red paint spots marked the way.pwheeler09/06/2017
Day trip by ferry from Mallaigprwild29/05/2017
Day trip on MV Shearwater from Arisaig. Trade route up and down on a scorching blue sky day. Stunning little mountain with interesting topography and geology. Café at the pier is also well worth a visit.benalder28426/05/2017
Will have to return and do this on a fine day!jenx29/08/2016
Arrived on 4.30 ferry to lowcloud and rain! Cycled up to highpoint on road and a dash up the hill, spiralling to top. No view which was shame but a good party in the cafe pub by the jetty compensated!nordicstar29/08/2016

Epic islands week with Sarah. Scorchio. Camped 2 nights at singing sands bay.Colinmac200503/05/2012
Solo. From the ferry pier at Galmisdale, I walked on tracks and then on the path that goes round the north side of An Sgùrr to the west end and so provides access to the summit. I reached the trig point. Surveying in 2012 showed that the highest point is 25m back from the trig point. I did go over this point. I returned the same way. The cliffs of An Sgùrr are impressively steep; the only easy way to the summit is the route I took from the west. Went to Kildonan for the night.pwbellarby23/07/2011

Wonderful views. With PMCJM04/07/2010
From Galmisdale we followed the normal way up this fantastic hill. We had excellent weather and the views of Rhum and the other islands was fantastic One of our best hill days. Worth the rush to the Ferry and sunburnChinnockC31/05/2010
Loch Nevis from Mallaig for 1 1/4 hr. trip. On very WDP to the right before coming up under the prow of the hill. Ravens. Narrow defile with wind whistling through and to uneven pavement looking like a lot of lumpy cement that had dried into a bumpy surface. Lunch in company of 10 others by column 10318 at 13.00. An SMC special and rightly so. Haze at 7 miles. Ardnamurchan lighthouse and Muck in full outline. In spite of talk about the green islanders, didn't see one walking or on a bike - they all had 4WD's!arranc24/05/2010
From pier; followed track then path with red paint on rocks, to N.W. end of Sgurr, through grassy slopes to summit ridge rocks. Along to Trig and Cairn. Great views. With S and the F.C.The Captain12/04/2010
