A very pleasant winter sunset walk following Belfarm's excellent directions. | Nick Down1 | 12/01/2024 |
From the end of the lane to north. Round to end of new plantation. | Campbell Singer | 16/07/2023 |
A lot of new tree planting makes an ascent from the track to the SW the best option. A gate leads into a so called wildlife area skirting the summit woodland .... I saw a single pheasant! | summitter | 25/04/2022 |
Belfarm’s route between showers | fasgadh | 05/05/2021 |
From the north, usual layby, go along track but follow it round to where it bends and drops off the back of the hill. There's a faint track there which goes through a gate in the mapped gap in the trees to the SW of the summit. Through that gate and diagonally up the field on a fainter track. Stay on it along the north of the wood and at the old wall, you can clearly see the summit and access is no problem. Viewpoint marked is a worthwhile diversion on the descent. Lots of new plantings, do it soon! | Belfarm | 27/03/2021 |
Park in layby to N at end of track. Confused by 1:50000 map not showing that the highpoint is in a wood, although it obviously is. Final Clackmannanshire TuMP. | Thearlaichdubh | 21/10/2019 |
Since when did we worry about animal droppings? But yes, to get to the very highest point, it may be best to walk backwards for a couple of yards. | Pete R | 09/12/2018 |
Beautiful November day. From north as others. Nice wee hill with great views of Ochils. | hillsman | 13/11/2018 |
Last of 4 Tumps for today. Minto/Alda route without any obstacles. | NormanW | 27/12/2017 |
From layby to the north, left at gate opposite, up through the birches, over a fence and up to the summit trees. | Topographer57 | 02/12/2017 |
From layby near track entrance as minto route. | robertphillips | 28/02/2017 |
Found the gate at the end of the track marked 'path'. Good views today. | Play2End | 24/02/2016 |
From N. No need to push through trees - there is a gate at 99895 99458 | chrisbien | 06/09/2015 |
From NW. By moonlight. | RHW | 25/04/2015 |
Easy route from the north as per Minto but in winter no problem with sheep, poo, or pokes in the eye, summit only just in the trees. | alda | 15/02/2015 |
From the N. Handy parking layby near start of track. After the gate, turn L off the track, and head uphill to pass through the band of trees where they are silver birch (much easier than the plantation). Summit is tree covered, and very (sheep) shitty, with no views. Circumvent the trees to approach the summit from the NE to minimise treading in pooh, and risk to poking eyes out on branches. | Minto | 31/08/2014 |
