From Drumclog CP, across the bridge, through the gate ahead, then up a path branching right after 100 yards, ascending through the wood to the steep slope below the mossy summit wall, which is straightforward if you take ramps and gentler gradients. The Buckie bottle is still there, cradled in winter leaves. | Nick Down1 | 29/12/2023 |
Parked at Drumclog Car Park. Enjoyed woodland walk and then headed for a visit to friend from childhood. Many memories of this area. | Crumblie2 | 03/11/2023 |
After walking round Craigmaddie reservoir, took the tarmac ramp up towards Barachan. Where the road loops back on itself I continued straight on over a barbed wire, low fence, up a grassy field to the flat topped area. Walked clockwise on a tramped route through dead bracken. Could be an bother in summer. Found the summit Buckie bottle alongside an easily accessible wall. Return by same route, then around Mugdock reservoir & Mugdock Castle. From Drumclog carpark | colazione | 24/08/2022 |
Walked along both sides of the summit wall. A bottle of Buckie marks the most likely high point. Probably left by a Weegie bagger. | summitter | 05/08/2022 |
