SUW from A702 Less said about this hill the better. Nice walk in until the last 100m | Andrew Simmons | 14/04/2023 |

Roadside verge parking just SW of bridge (NS 9326 1010). Took a direct line to a small footbridge over the Potrail Water (NS 9354 0974) for Miekle Shag first. From there kept south and east of Little Shag to cross SUW at NS 9450 0929, then a good break ENE to what should have been the forest edge, but plantation has expanded for what's mapped. From NS 9474 0940 headed N following fence for ~160m then pushed through immature spruce, not pleasant. Impossible to tell where the summit is, went to HB GR first then spot height. On to Pin Stane and return for a 5 mile round. | jonglew | 03/01/2022 |

coom rig and pin stane SUW track, firebreak, 100m sitka bash to CR then clearfell on PS | robertphillips | 23/09/2018 |
Thrashed straight down through very painful fir trees from Meikle Shag because there were no rides going NE, until burn then SUW. SE to forest edge, then jagged back up a ride which got within 100m of HP. Then truly horrific thrash the final 100m to a 1 tree wide ride which seemed to coincide with the summit on GPS. Hands and face and legs all scarred by the experience. | Thearlaichdubh | 07/09/2018 |
SUW from A702, easy till last 100m then hideous. | agentmancuso | 18/08/2018 |

forest track to within 100m then fight through the spruce. | cjo | 23/01/2016 |
Simply horrid, Covered in thickly planted young Sitka. Even a Noethgrug crawl wasn't on due to the low level branches. Well scratched. I was content with the listed high point. | Colin Crawford | 31/08/2015 |
SUW from A702.Main track NE smaller track steeply up and then SW. Came off too soon and pushed through dense trees (Coom Rig). E to break NE then down to track end. High point of track up to felled area (Pin Stane). Track back to car. | chrisbien | 23/11/2014 |
After Meikle Shag, descended SE forest fence, SUW into wood, forest road up R, climbed L to higher road, steeply up NE from NS 94541 09505 to find narrow ride which passes 40m SE of summit, then push in thru moderately dense young sitka. Retraced steps to high level road then N to Pinstane. With Andrew Tibbetts. Relative shelter of forest welcome on a wild windy misty day. | RHW | 15/03/2014 |
