Verge parking beyond Fallside but moved on by a strangely behaving canihelpyou keeper as I was starting out. Parked well to the east near Winton and cycled in, only to encounter the same keeper who was clearly checking up that I had left. Was expecting trouble on the hill but left alone after watching the vehicle drive back and forth a few times. Easy terrain over Ewe Hill. Visited both summits. Traffic had calmed down on my return, | fasgadh | 04/05/2023 |
Roadside verge parking at a field gate to the NE (NS 9008 3389). Good track for ~900m then across rough ground. Wandered across to the other 400m contour summit as that looked as high, but was unable to determine them by eye. | jonglew | 13/02/2023 |
From the track off B7055 through the trees onto open hills side and up to the HP | Andrew Simmons | 14/09/2022 |
Decent view of Tinto | Tisteln | 02/03/2022 |
A good track through the break in trees near point 341 to NE. Then over fields and up this tussocky hill. | sclater | 16/08/2020 |
Followed on from Howgate. No real route - just picked up ATV tracks and sheep paths, mixed with a trudge through the moorland into the bargain. | DrumalbinView | 30/04/2019 |
Straight across from Howgate Hill through the obvious gap in the trees, then a bit boggy/tussocky. Visited W summit just in case the trig forces the named summit further into the bog.
Good viewpoint. | Thearlaichdubh | 26/03/2019 |
Along quadtracks from fellside to south east. Trig pillar | cjo | 10/08/2018 |
from the north, track to farm then up to both tops.good covering of snow. | robertphillips | 01/02/2018 |
Parked on the B-road then up the track to Mountstewart. Keep to north around this then upward on damp moorland to damaged trig then had a look from other lower top on a lovely sunny afternoon. | Dugswell2 | 14/03/2016 |
Here for the trigpoint. TP:UK log:

Walked up with Mrs B on Leap Day. Damaged pillar especially around the base with crumbling concrete and visible angle iron internals. Cap is missing and no plug present. Good 360 views of the surrounding hills. Came up via Mountstewart. Round the back of the farm, through the gates and then followed the faint quadtrack. | thejackrustles | 29/02/2016 |

Track to Mountstewart then quad bike track to W top (which looked higher but is 1m lower according to Geograph) then onto trig. Farmer came out with 2 dogs and stared at me didn't respond to my greeting. | chrisbien | 08/03/2015 |
Came up from start of Maidengill track on other side of M74. Rough grazing. Good views of Tinto, Culter Fell, Dungavel, Cairn Table. A double celebration - my 500th trig & 100th cache. | agentmancuso | 25/07/2008 |
