From Hardridge farm. Farm track to the end which then becomes ATV track all the way to the summit. Nice and easy. Bagged the trig on the way backAndrew Simmons24/11/2023
Good off-road parking to the East at NS 2516 6787. Creuch Hill f1rst then the sub-tump Knockminwood Hill before coming across to here. On to North Burnt Hill, Burnt Hill West (another sub-tump) and return for a 10 mile round - very rough wet ground all the way round.jonglew31/03/2023
From the east from Hardridge Farm, good track but wet in places and then ATV track to top. Cairn and ground to SW seemed to be same height. Good views from top.PeterD19/06/2022
From near Hardridge Farm to corrugated-iron engine shed and followed rail tracks before joining more recent road towards Knockdal Ring. My older map shows many more rail tracks covering this former grouse moor. A private railway to ferry shooting guests around.lordtonult24/05/2022
From Creuch hill. One to do in dry weather. Is actually a worthy tump on account of surprisingly good views on a clear day.colazione25/03/2022
From 252679: a circuit of Creuch, Knockminwood, Knockdal Ring and North Burnt. Ascent of Creuch and descent of North Burnt grassy - elsewhere tough going over deep heather, tussocks and bog.sclater17/01/2022
05:00 start. From the track to the west. Track soon becomes boggy grass and moss. Took the track to the north of the top and then over rough ground to top. Returned going due west and then followed burn down to another grass track..Campbell Singer28/05/2021
From the Muirshiel visitor centre, via track and quad tracks past Hardridge HillGrinner20/03/2021
From Hardridge farm E. of the hill. Followed mapped farm track to it`s end then ATV track to the summit.bjewing06/03/2021

Parked HP OLR - contractor work going on at Creuch Hill so used metal road for an easy first 150m. Terrain pretty good (after at least 3 days no rain) until approaching NRB. ATV track faint at first and ends abruptly so best to join at conspicuous rise 10 mins WNW of 4th pylon from Creuch Hill (closest to burn). 15 mins from there to top, passing by some monster bog. Good views into S. Upland ranges, rest of CMRP, central belt, Cowal, Trossachs and beyond (even the Sleeping Warrior made a snowy appearance). Round trip about 3 hours. Final Inverclyde tump.iangpark30/03/2020
Space for a car where minor road ends nr Kilmacolm Low Dam before Hardridge. Mist & ice along track then stumble through the snowy heather. On to cairn on Knockminwood Hill then eventually found remains of old railway on way back to ascent route. Rain on the way down removed much off the ice, but made it feel colder.agentmancuso05/02/2019
Pathless plod through heather from Creuch Hill. Final Inverclyde TuMP. No views as surrounded by higher hills. Back to raod so could watch the royal wedding. Not.Thearlaichdubh19/05/2018
Parked near Rottenburn Bridge on a misty morning. Did Creuch Hill followed by Knockdal Ring then on to North Burnt Hill as the mist lifted. Wet feet most of the way.Dugswell218/06/2017
P at NRB. Sort of track under the pylons then ATV from 27391 67147.chrisbien07/03/2017
creuch hill, knockdal ring, north burnt hill, from the west, parking start of track NRB, Final inverclyde tump.robertphillips17/02/2017
My final Inverclyde tump. From E, Hardridge Farm road, parked at unoccupied cottage (NS321677) just past turnoff to farm itself. Good track, boggy in a few places, then 830m of knee deep snowy heather ensuring I earned my completion! Summit quite distinctive once reached. Mapped cairn with grassy top 30m to SW about same height. Quite a few other tops within 500m to W/SW but 25k map suggests next highest contender c.5m lower.RHW20/11/2016
4th hill of 8 today on a route from Muirshiels Country park visitor centre to Wemyss Bay on a windy overcast day with the imminent chance of rain, I climbed Windy Hill, Craig Minnan and the Heddles, taking a track that eventually terminates in a bowl shape with a rough ascent through bog to the summit. Creuch Hill seen ahead and also in view are Knockinwood hill.Dazingdale23/09/2016
Approached from Creuch Hill, through deep heather atop spongy moss. Delightful. And similarly arduous going en route to North Burnt HillColin Crawford10/02/2015
Approach from west not recommended.campagvelocet29/09/2011
