P Hadyard WF entrance to W. Track then quad trail to forest edge then some zigzagging through the trees, not too bad really. | agentmancuso | 28/09/2019 |
After Doughty Hill. Descended to the stream junction at edge of forest. Followed stream WSW, alongside a broken down fence to the col, between the summit and top 371. Without a compass or GPS, and using the sun and watch for direction, worked my way up to a clearing about 150m SE of Trig. Even more dodgy descent, NE to the end of the forest road near a watch tower. VERY impressed to hit it spot on with no navigational aids, only map. Really spooky trees with hanging moss, would make a great film set. | Minto | 10/08/2019 |
working in ayr this morning, took half day holiday from work in afternoon, p track entrance along good track to turbine, then atv track to near trees then followed chris b great information to the top. | robertphillips | 11/07/2018 |
2nd hill of 12 on a route from North Balloch climbing Daljedburgh Hill heading Nw on a forest ride with replanted deciduous trees either side of the Auchengairn burn. I think there were quite a lot of windblown trees so used mature trees and went through till i reached the trig. Followed forest ride NE to emerge from the forest. Next hill: Doughty Hill. | Dazingdale | 10/05/2017 |
Ah Colin! P at the start of the track through the windfarm (w). QB track to about 360m. Follow very small stream from 30613 98483 to clearing 30725 98600 then make your way to clearing 30760 98609 and onto summit clearing with Trig. | chrisbien | 31/10/2016 |
Along the grassed over track from the east, which gives you false confidence. Beyond the track end, all is horror, with no breaks and very close grown trees, spiky branches down to ground level. I went up on hands and knees or on my belly and thought the summit would never come. The trig sits in a small clearing. Even if you come in from the west, you'll have a thrash to face. | Colin Crawford | 03/06/2016 |

Parked across from windfarm entrance. Along track , then Quad track to Forest edge. Used GPS thru trees, picking zig zag line to Trig. Forest floor festooned with Fly Agaric. With the F.C. | The Captain | blank |
