P Sally Pollock's Bridge, road to North Balloch & track to FB (right-angled FB is good, curved one doesn't exist) then up easily through trees. Came down NW from summit through easyish trees then skirting huge windfell barrier to W, on to track to Lennie. | agentmancuso | 14/07/2020 |
ACW round of the 3 tumps from north balloch tracks then 150 m through mature trees to dunamoddie trig,
track nw to end then along trees to find wall/large firebreak up to hp last 20 m through young trees, then over to dalwine best hill of the day. | robertphillips | 28/06/2018 |
Not as much of a thrash as I'd expected, despite windthrow in the trees. We used the firebreak from the west to get close then went up easily through the trees. Pleasant and open summit area | Colin Crawford | 19/06/2017 |
10th hill of 12 today on a tough circular route from North Balloch climbing Daljedburgh Hill, Craiginmoddie, Doughty Hill, The Pilot, Knockinculloch,Clauchrie Hill, Fore Fell, Garleffin Fell and Stob Hill, descending Sw to reach grassy track around Eldrick Hill connnecting to forest road and then following it all the way to the foot of Dunamoddie. The trees near the forest ride were all wind-blown so just made my way up steeply through the trees and then to the trig. Descent again through the trees, spotting where to climb over and under trees so that I emerged close to track heading Nw towards Lennie, the next hill. | Dazingdale | 10/05/2017 |
P N Balloch track and firebreaks plus through trees to trig on Dunamoddie. Track and firebreak then painful thrash from N to top of Lennie. Fence and ruined wall To about 400m (horrible-tussocks holes and wet) then across fence and up to C of D. Track along fence then down through sheep pasture. | chrisbien | 02/11/2016 |
