Usual path is still closed due to storm damage, but a signposted diversion leads to the top. According to Forestry website car park is now open, but closed signs remain.NormanW10/07/2023

From CP. Track then path to large cairn at summit of SH. Steeply down and then towards MH initially on path then rough terrain. Horrible getting down to the lower SH path. Very hot.chrisbien20/07/2021

From car park ESE. Pleasant walk up, improved as elevation gained to a nice rocky ascent. Took the forest track down to make a circular out of it. ***Revisited 30 May 2023 with grandkids Will & Jon.jonglew05/02/2021
Climbed up the main path. Frozen near the top which meant less mud. Descended on forest tracks to the west.jigglybones31/01/2021

Easy walk from the car park...Lovely views of the coast.steven ruffles09/10/2019
Up the usual path to Screel Hill (very well built for much of its length) from the FC carpark, then over the narrow path through sedge, grass and heather to Mid Hill (nice and open now trees felled, but replacements growing quickly), then more boggy path to Bengairn. Returned eastwards down a worn route through the bracken until a footbridge over the Troudale Burn and gate onto a forest track leads back to the carpark. About 2hrs in total to walk.summitter08/09/2019
From Screel Wood car park off the A 711, using forest tracks and the hill path to the SE top and the summit. Returned by outward route. Solo. A fine rugged hill - best of the three.Man of Kernow129/06/2019
From Scree Hill car park up core path then down to west and across intriguing path to Bengairn. Returned to core path and followed to car.SS23/06/2019
