2 of 4 from the minor road.robertphillips17/03/2024
Circular route from roadside parking NX611622. Took rad and track towards Grobdale of Girthon, then fairly direct climb to Ewe Hill. Continued along ridge to Laughenghie Hill (visiting the various summit contenders), descent NE over increasingly rough ground, crossed stream and climb to Airie Hill (also visiting the cairn). Descent S to climb Clack Hill, on to Loch Hill and to road via track from Grobdale of Balmaghie. Followed road SW from about 1km then headed SSW to climb Fell of Laghead, on to Craigtype and Benfadyeon. Returned via path to Laghead Bridge and road to start point. Some sunshine, some rain, fairly breezy.RobertP02/07/2023
Before breakfast from tent at Darngarroch. Quad ike and animal tracks useful. Rather good light and big viewsfasgadh29/05/2022
Roadside verge parking (NX 6095 6167) for a round of 4 hills, this the first, then Craigtype -> Benfadyeon -> Castramont Hill. Rough ground E side of road.jonglew09/02/2021
Along the Loch Winyeon footpath until an ATV track reached, which allowed easy, if circuitous, access to Benfadyeon, then to pretty near the top of Bengray. Returned by the same route to a stone cairn near the loch side. Hopped over a stone wall and followed animal and ATV tracks to Craigtype and Fell of Laghead. A further ATV track took us quickly back to the road and camper van.summitter12/07/2020
4/8 A round of the valley from Laghead Bridge, including Benfadyeon, Bengray, down to Loch and up to Craigtype, then Fell of Laghead, Craig of Grobdale and continue up to White Top of Culreoch. Then down through the trees to Doon of Culreoch and back to complete circle via Castramont Hill. Note the last two were hard going with felled woodland at first and then tussocky ground, made it a 6 hour round despite the low hills. Sunburnt, silly me!nickywood113/07/2019

8 Tumps anticlockwise from Laghead Bridge.agentmancuso21/04/2018
Was to be last of 8 Culreoch tops, easy on its own of course, from W. Tumbledown cairn at summit. Then to Craigtype an unexpected additionRHW24/03/2018
