Verge parking near miltonise, wet and rough ground to high murdonochee and cairn hill of the moil my final south ayrshire tump.robertphillips06/12/2020
From High Murdonachee went N over rough ground to FB that led up to forest track, went round anticlockwise. Stupidly pushed through close new trees to top then found it in open E/W FB. Continued down forest road & rough exFB through clearfell to quad track along Pilhatchie Burn for a bit then due W to old damn & road back to car at Laganabeastie.agentmancuso16/07/2020
Reached from High Murdonochree. Entry to the forest was very rough indeed but once I'd gained the turbine tracks all became easy. The cairn is hidden away in a firebreak amongst new plantingsColin Crawford17/06/2017
2nd hill of 6 today and 1st log for this hill on a route from Barrhill to Ballantrae using the forest roads and wind turbine access before climbing to High Murdonochee then across Nnw to the forest track but as a lorry was loading up timber i decided to bypass the road and wslked through a forest ride back onto it further up. I got a reading of 291 close to the intersection of a ride that heads to the summit. It is an area of re-planted forest but i reached the quite bountiful Cairn and high point is there or a few metres away. Wild descent through plantings to forest road.
