Why did I? Demoted from Tump status over a year ago. Approached from Knoweside to HP just inside fence then battled through trees to reach Dunure path which passes by an old cairn.lordtonult29/05/2022

After Knoweside, NE to Dunure Hill path, followed this till due E of summit before short battle with trees, easier just to stick to forest edge.agentmancuso05/05/2018
After Knoweside, followed path N along edge of forest and then plunged into trees to summit. Plunged through trees to pick up track leading to Dunure, and then on to Heads of Ayr via the coastal path. Fairly pointless summit.Thearlaichdubh03/12/2017
4th Hill of 6 today, after having climbed Kirkland Hill as an out and back from Achensoul, then I left my large rucksack at the air bnb place in Maybole before leaving hire car back in Ayr to start this route to Maybole via 5 hills, climbing Heads of Ayr and Brown Carrick Hill, descending SW (to shelter from rain under some lovely gnarly conifers NS28162 15735) then into the forest on forest ride heading Sw before meeting track heading SE. At NS27862 14495 I headed through the trees to the highest point, immediately discovering a high point of 280m about 15metres in but continued to clearing and highest point is bilberry knoll under conifer branch, I spent 10 minutes in and out of this area to make sure but did not get anything higher than 276m, whereas the area just off the track I got 280m. Back on the track to exit forest on edge heading Sw heading for Knoweside Hill.Dazingdale13/05/2017
From Knoweside, directly past the loch and very rough in places. Returned much more easily along forest edge and fenceColin Crawford14/02/2017
same route as chrisrobertphillips01/02/2017
P at right angle bend. Followed (indistinct in places) path to Dunure. Across moor to north and south bumps then back to W E fence back to path. Eventually followed the edge of the forest inside the fence to DH summit in a small clearing.chrisbien19/08/2014
From Dunure Hill path; rough going after path. Top in clearing. The Captainblank
