Parked trackside pull-in (NX 3590 8589). Didn't spot a break so took a direct line to top over sparse new plantings in old clear fell - very rough ground.jonglew27/07/2021

P by track between SH and AH. Left track NE of SH into clear fell not good. Back tried through the belt of trees even worse. Went too far S on AH and went straight up the obvious ridge. Easier back down on where the firebreak had been.chrisbien03/07/2018
5th hill of 6 from Glen Trool (bus from Girvan) visiting Glen Trool visitor centre then a wild thrash to visit Glencaird hill, Balunton, Garwall and Brecklach trudging across boggy tree-felled ground and then re-planted forest ride to this top where a trig and open top suddenly energe from the ether. Onwards to my last hill, Arroch.Dazingdale19/05/2017
View from road to E reveals a gap in this hill's forestry defences to E of summit. Walked from N on forestry road until approx 300m NE of summit and then rough but straightforward climb across felled forestry to pronounced knoll with mossy trig summit.RobertP20/09/2015
