X36 bus to Romeo and Juliet Restaurant then back to B784, past quarry and up over fields to fine top in sunshine whilst Dalry and Garnock Valley remained enveloped in freezing fog.lordtonult13/12/2022
From the junction of 784 and 760. Followed track sw for about 200m and then cut off to the left around the plantation. Through a couple of fields to the top. Some rather frisky cattle on other side of fence.colazione26/07/2022
A good viewpoint. Went up from road junction to N. Not the best route. Descended to road at W of South Hourat, which was better.sclater04/10/2021
Good parking at the junction of A760 and B784.The track is muddy but it is easy enough walking beside it when required.bjewing02/04/2021
Local walk, biked up the minor roads from my house to swinlees quarry entrance, up the track and north side of the quarry to the top.robertphillips29/01/2021
Local walk, bike and hike from my house, blaeloch hill, brown hill, green hill.robertphillips08/05/2020
P junct to N, boggy track to NW of top then up, reedy grass mainly. Sky & sea same pewter colour, so Ailsa Craig looked like it was levitating. Nicer top than expected.agentmancuso07/03/2019
Train to Dalry, then quiet minor road to Dykes farm. Head into fields on left just before and follow imaginary track through fields with muddy gates to summit which is a good viewpoint. Lots of sheep tracks and mainly well grazed grass.Thearlaichdubh25/10/2017
From the north along a very boggy track.chrisbien13/12/2016
3rd and last hill of the day from Dalry station having Climbed Whin and Pondery hill. I Took the road upto Dykes farm and then on a grassy Track to just past Raeside straight to summit. Encountered herds of cows en-route but they were All on the other side of the fence-line. Highest point is marked by a few stones on a grassy ridge. I explored the bumps nearby and I got 220m But nothing exceeded 223m. Descent Se But decided to climb Colwinnining hill. Explored high ground to South then via quarry buildings to ridge on N/NEside. Sheer drops to side and DID not feel safe But awesome views. Used quarry Track to ridge to reach B784 down to T junction and then turned right for about 300m to reach the Romeo & Juliet Inn, my digs for the night.Dazingdale18/09/2016
