Parked at roundabout, walked along ridge to Lendalfoot. Bus back. Very pleasant till last section adjacent to A77.daviemore21/10/2023
I parked at Shallochpark car park, by the roundabout, Girvan. Walked to Woodlands Farm and went up the track behind the farm, & up through the woods. Lovely little hill. Solo.Dangerous Dave16/10/2023
Parked where farm roads to Drumfairn and Brochneil branch from a small road leading from the A714 through Daltippan. Directly across the road, an overgrown style beside a metal gate leads to the start of an enjoyable path up the NE ridge of Byne Hill which goes over several little rock bands and through knolls with superb coastal views to reach the toposcope. SW to the col, detouring to the sadly dilapidated obelisk commemorating Major Craufurd, then on tracks over Cairn Hill and Fell Hill to Grey Hill with more outstanding views to Ailsa Craig and Arran. Back via Cairn Hill and an ATV track to Drumfairn and the farm access road. road.Nick Down120/08/2023

2nd hill of 11 today on an elongated loop from Girvan in initially misty and potentially threatening clouds climbing Shalloch Hill over fence onto track then through caravan site up delightful narrow ridge over fence and onto path that I mostly followed all the way to the top. Didn't stop long as needed to crack on but on return route this hill would be in lush sunshine! Continued on ridge to Mains Hill.Dazingdale16/05/2017

Quick last hill of day from Woodlands Bay. Easy all of the wayColin Crawford04/06/2016
Arrived at campsite of the Woodlands Hotel, venue for Marhofn AGM. Puzzled over; Shower, Pizza, Beer? Shower, Pizza, Beer?? So decided to climb this hill instead. Parking available in the restaurant car park, head L at restaurant, across front of barn/stables, then track on R after riding arena. Up into wood and jump drainage ditch to take track on L. Follow this to the monument, then path to summit. I was informed afterwards that the parents of Crumblie1 met on this hill.Minto03/06/2016
P Myoch Bridge. Track and path to top. Men with whippets towards Mains Hill.chrisbien28/02/2016
Myself and TMD had a scenic walk up to this summit whilst exploring the area. Good coastal views.meltdiceburg31/08/2015
Continuation of ridge walk north from Grey Hill on good ATV track. Over Fell Hill, down to boggy bealach, then by marked path to rugged granite top with viewfinder. To return, tried to follow track marked on map south from Drumfairn, but this disappeared in bogs north of Loch Lochton. What with new barbed wire fences, bogs and an angry bull, I would not recommend this route! Return south by the ridge - much easier!Man of Kernow126/04/2014
W Jenx from Knocklaugh. Followed path to NE, tracking burn and bracken. At Lochan cut up onto Hill. Over Fell Hill (P30?) and to Byne Hill / Mains Hill. Went back for car while Jen dropped to road.nordicstar25/08/2013
