Parked at entrance to Carrock Estate (NX 5976 8197). Took track through the estate to Rig of Drumbuie -> Dunveoch Hill, then across to here on a fairly direct line - some tricky ground round the Dunveoch Burn area. Took a direct line down Cat Crags back to car, ground fairly steep but not too bad. | jonglew | 20/04/2021 |
Directly up through the woods from the road to the east, probably not the best approach given the crags and vegetation. Then on to Dunveoch Hill | Colin Crawford | 31/03/2019 |
3 tump round from parking at track entrance to old garroch/mosside, rig of drumbuie, dunveoch hill, garroch hill, | robertphillips | 27/02/2019 |
8th hill of 9 on a route from Carsphairn to Dalry, climbing Bardennoch Hill, Gairy Craig, Torrs, Bennan Hill, Shinmount, Rig of Drumbuie and Dunveoch Hill, descending EnE to fence into field then gate to the Bridge over the Dunveoch glen complete with waterfall, then took track leading to Garroch with several gates to pass. Climbed over elec fence then climbed up to the top passing several knolls however summit outcrop is obvious once there!Dalry clearly in view now. Continuing by tricky and steep descent through Cat Craigs woodland to reach Southern Upland Way then easy access to Waterside Hill... | Dazingdale | 18/10/2018 |
After Dunveoch. Tried approach from Goose Craig but defeated by a number of electric fences and coos. Track Upper Loch, Moss Side and back towards car. Up from track through new planting. 2 yellow marked posts then two gates (about 593820) to top field. | chrisbien | 11/04/2018 |
