Drove up the track and parked at a now locked gate, went into the trees at the west side through the wind blown trees to the cairn.robertphillips30/10/2021
Parked in layby on forest road (NX 4619 6948). Walked back ~120m to a mapped break; worked round to 50m due W of the hill, then negotiated some serious windthrow. Cairn found but very awkward getting to it.jonglew18/02/2021
Almost a drive in until the final wind blown tree covered summit. Found the cairn. The area is being felled so the fallen trees could be gone soon.Adrian18/03/2019
4th and final tump of the day on a route from the Deer Range visitor centre to Machermore castle, climbing Brockloch hill, Craigdews hill and Bar then tricky descent and reascent to the road following jt for a while before climbing to the cycle track then direct through the windfall chaos to the amazingly intact moss-covered cairn. Descent to road on track then road walking to Machermore castle.Dazingdale06/10/2018
