From Caravan Park which has now closed but still allows parking. Icy and a few snow patches. Stunning clear day, views as far as outer Hebrides. After stile and stream crossing kept on ATV track branching rightwards to bag 619m top first. Then scrambled up rock tiers of SW Ridge. Descended north then followed ENE spur down on north bank of burn (much easier than the path above burn on S bank which was very icy). With Lesley.Nick Canute09/01/2024
Plenty parking at deserted camp site to WSW (NM 7239 6395). From NM 7241 6391, WM path (indistinct at times - over boggy bits of which there are many) all way to top. Returned same way, leaving path at NM 7601 6540 to easily contour round (at 550m) to Beinn an Albannaich. NW to regain path to car. nice walkcarole engel13/08/2023
With John and wee Islay from Resipole Holiday Park. Sunny day with blue skies, no wind below 600m so plenty of midges and keds (yuck) - slight cool breeze on summit. Went up the path to the summit, but descended down the craggy West face for a bit of a change, and rejoined the path out at the bottom of the crags. Few stops for snacks so total time ended up as 4h 42min.mproudfoot27/08/2022

From the excellent parking at the camp site. Lovely hill, reasonable path, though still boggy after three warm, dry days. Very warm and sunny and rather hazy. Took my time after some long days. Minor navigational error on the way down, coming to the end of the boggy moorland section I ended up at a gate heading for the ravine, easily corrected. Was given a free espresso at the excellent art gallery afterwards. What a friendly hill day.Owen B24/08/2021
From campsite. Good path for the most part.Crib Goch30/06/2021
With MM, a straightforward ascent from the campsite following the track, then atv tracks then faint footpath onto the shoulder then an easy final ascent to the top. Views and weather- apart from an hour of hail and heavy rain- outstandingkenmorti16/05/2021
Dean and I, cracking day pestered by deer keds. Camped at Castle Tioram afterwards.kojak18/09/2020
Solo during a week in Ardgour & Sunart. From Resipole campsite up the east bank of the river. Clear path all the way up the hill & a grand view from the summit. Worth waiting for a clear day.NotReallyABagger03/10/2019
Respect to Resipol campsite who offer free parking by their reception. Followed track to east of Allt Mhic Chiarain which then evolves into a foot path. This has really developed since my first ascent over 20 years ago!BaggerGutt18/07/2019
From Ariundle, along the miners track to Beinn Resipol (fab views to the Islands), down the crags to Beinn an Albannaich, then picked our way over to its South Top and Creag an Eighich, before descending down to the Allt Camas a Choirce, then the slog up to Beinn a Chaorainn via its south top - which gives easy access back to the Miners track. Pretty easy going in dry, sunny conditions, would be tough in rain and mist - 5.5hrs in total.summitter12/05/2019
Cycling trip to Ardnamurchaniansm09/05/2019
From Beinn Mhor hotel up the very good trackn then pretty pathless across to east ridge of Resipol where we disappeared into the cloud and stayed there. No problem to summit but in thick cloud and rain lost line on way down on what appears(in cloud at Least) to be a fairly complicated ridge. Finished up abandoning trying to find the line and cut down south to join the road at Ranachan - a lot of bracken made it hard going.dickscroop31/10/2018

I walked up from Resipole camp site. It was a good path all the way to the top. There were a few fell runners that overtook me. I met 2 couples one from County Durham I had a good chat to on the way down probably a good 20 minutes. When I started the walk it was clear blue skies but a bank of cloud came in just before I reached the summit. Luckily it cleared to give stunning views to the east with all the main summits on the western side of Scotland visible from Ben Cruachan to Ben Nevis and northwards. Wildlife was sparse just Meadow Pipits and Ravens on the hill. I did see Stonechats lower down. Time taken including stops 4hours 22 minutes. Was pleased to get down as my Achilles started to hurt following a tear at the start of June.isabelle01/07/2018

Most of the way with Yeltzbaager but turned back before the top. Yeltzbagger carried on and managed to get lost in the wood near Resipol Farm. I knew he would!Stevie n Tay27/03/2017

Early start up the miners track from Ariundle as rain forecast at 2pm. Fresh snow made the eastern slopes hard work, but the top ridge was enjoyable. View from the summit but sky was very dark. Made it back just as rain was starting well pleased with ourselves.mindlessflogger24/02/2017
With four other XXL club members from the friendly campsite at Resipol. Very straightforward.Phreerunner31/07/2016

With M. Staying in Strontian (supposedly pine marten but didn't see it). Fairly straightforward walk from caravan park, a bit misty.douglas_easton22/05/2016
After snow the previous day and overnight we decide to ascend. Clear blue and cold - we start from Loch Sunart (Beinn Resipol Caravan Site) Wood to rear then follow Allt Mhic Chiara to open country and the valley below the main summit. Paths not visible in the snowy landscape. Having been caught up by the walkers behind we map a route to the summit and continue up together. Treated to 360 degree view of snowy peaks all around breath-taking and sublime. Butties consumed we head back slowly.briandavies29/04/2016
From Resipole caravan site (9;15) followed path and track which wound up the glen through 2 gates and to a third at 741652. From here a path, mostly good but finally faint followed S bank of stream to top of E ridge. Cloud down but dry. Finish 14:00dbb16/06/2015

RBS Ariundle weekend. Beautiful sunny, blue sky day. Good track to top of saddle over to next glen then strike across rough ground towards Resipol, bit of a scruffy track to start but soon lost it, many false summits. Great view out to Eigg, Rhum, Skye, South Uist, Ben Nevis in other direction. With Richard H.langskill27/04/2014

Resipole to Strontian over Beinn Resipol, great walk: beautiful way up, less attractive down but still satisfying, giving the entire summit ridge. My brother cycled back to recover the car while I prepared dinner (we rented a bungalow next to the Ben View hotel, great for exploring this area)pwheeler19/05/2013

From road by Ariundle. 1/2m on road past last house to water treatment works and up as bridal track to mine. To col and over swampy ground with grey twisted boulders through a pair of rusty gate posts with non existent fence to open moor. Across boggy area to a dip and up on grass runs to a broad ridge past 3 outcrops to top at 12.15. Young lady having lunch had come up from Resipol camp site. 1st person I'd met on top for 30 Corbetts - 13 months ago. Vanessa lying on its side.arranc11/06/1998

Weather was not good, but said to improve from the west in the afternoon so didn’t start until 15:00. Solo. Followed a track past Resipole farm becoming a narrow path. It went through woodland, sometimes perched on edge of a drop. Higher up I followed vague paths on south side of Allt Mhic Chiarain. Nearing Beinn Resipol the weather deteriorated, making navigation difficult. Reached the summit, with some difficulty due to steep snowed up rocks. Returned more or less same way to reach car at 21:00.pwbellarby08/04/1994
