With Iain wilson, Long day. Sunny with phenomenal views of sky cullins, ben nevis, anochs, grey corries, mammores, and glencoe. | alexmaclennan | 19/09/2020 |
Alone from Resourie. Very steep ascent and descent but neat route through prominent notch. | sclater | 15/11/2019 |
Final Corbett of three in an anti-clockwise circuit. Generally reasonably good going, some sections rather difficult to pick the best line amongst the outcrops and undulations. Then retraced steps to Bealach an Sgriodain, then down the straightforward grassy slope. The valley is an impressive amphitheatre for the rutting stags, bellowing and roaring and groaning all around, everything else behaving rather skittishly. Then out of nowhere a mountain bike appears on top of someone's shoulders. Rough path to the col, then a much better but very wet path back to Callop. | Owen B | 06/10/2019 |
During a solo week in Ardgour & Sunart. After an unhelpful exchange with the local estate office over routes earlier in the week, decided to approach from Glen Hurich by a cunning route I'd spotted 2 days earlier while on Carn na Nathrach rather than from Callop. Room for a couple of cars to park roadside at Kinlochan. Followed forest track past Glenhurich cottage, then turned L before bridge on track leading to Resourie bothy. After about 1.5km, an area of forest on L has been cleared. A logging track winds up through debris around NM848698 finishing near broken old deer fence at top R of cleared area. Stepped over fence & handrailed it up a firebreak. About 10m of tree bashing near end of forest track at NM845700 but keeping fence on L, emerged from forest near a stag wallow which I smelled long before I saw it! Ground OK by Ardgour standards. Then more easily on to ridge near Sgorr an Tarmachain & great walk along to summit. Back same way & quickly too. | NotReallyABagger | 02/10/2019 |

Cycled up Glen Hurich, then north and east up line of fence to stile at 660m then ladder at 630m, across to 650m col and west ridge. Return over longer west ridge and 701m tump. | Topographer57 | 17/05/2018 |
Between Mor and Daimh, could probably have bypassed on S slopes but over is nicer | RHW | 06/05/2018 |
Had to bag the third corbett a rarity to get three in one day. Enjoyed the walk around to it. Some great scenery here. Descended into Cona Glen, then to path back to Callop. 9 hours of walking and saw not a sole person. Perfect. Company: Solo | iandesbottes | 20/07/2017 |
56th – Solo. Day 1 of overnight expedition, camped at head of Lochan Dubh (901 708). About 2km from Glenfinnan station follow track to Callop and beyond before heading up NE ridge of Sgorr Craobh a Chaorainn. Follow ridge round anticlockwise taking in two other Corbetts. Descend SE below Meall Mor to Lochan for overnight camp. Warm, clear, dry day. Excellent views. | RGibbs | 31/05/2017 |
Alone, from Resourie both. | Grinner | 11/03/2017 |
From Glen Hurich. Parked on SE side abt 847693 (10:30) & cycled to 875706 by river (11:10). Crossed (easy, weather dry) & climbed ridge to R very steeply to pt 575m. Traversed above trees, crossed corrie then angled left to ridge close to summit (13:30). Returned same route; bike 15:15. Short but steep; grassy ramp just L of crossing point is probably better line. Route-finding on descent may be tricky in poor visibility. Starting point also offers a short steep route to Carn na Nachrach. | dbb | 23/07/2016 |

Via Callop. Feet wet from first crossing of side stream. Water on paths, then swamps and over main river. Up to bealach and to head of glen as far as possible. 1 1/4 miles over swamp, traps for feet in long grass. Uphill on grassy runs by the side of crags to bealach and followed fence posts to top at 14.45. 10 rocks on highest crag. Retraced steps to car. 7 3/4 hours. | arranc | 17/07/1998 |
Third Corbett of the day on this circuit from the A830 to the NE. Excellent walk. | Aye Jimmy | 29/05/1998 |
With friend. We walked up path through Glen Scaddle and set up camp somewhere beyond Tighnacomaire. Walked up Gleann an Lochain Duibh. Towards the end of Lochan Dubh we moved up the hillside and then ascended steeply up a gully. Towards the top we kept above a deer fence (with new forest below it), contouring round the summit of Meall Mor. We reached the summit of Stob a’ Bhealach an Sgriodain. We continued to Carn na Nathrach and descended to the camp. | pwbellarby | 14/06/1997 |
