Logged Descriptions  (logged by 12 users)ByDate of Ascent
From Cairn fell, sheep and lambs in abundance. Weather rapidly improving from damp drizzle to warm sun, hazecjo03/05/2022
From the farm entrance visited all 3 areas.robertphillips12/03/2022
Snuck the car into entrance to farm (NX 0966 3573). Ground good to the sheep dip after which it deteriorated... usual cattle mud-fest. Visited 2 other 150m contour rings, one to ENE, the other, a small one, to SW - none seemed as high though.jonglew05/12/2020
Continued from Cairn over rough pasture. We visited all three possible HPs and decided the central one without cairn was the highest, just. Lovely coastal views on a sunny day.Denise 25/03/2018
From Cairn Fell, rough cattle pasture with thickets of gorse. Undulating summit plateau with 3 distinct knolls. Un-cairned central grassy knoll the highest but cairned knoll to E only just lower. Good coastal views from W cairn.RichardM25/03/2018
11th hill of 13 today on a route from Little Pinminnoch (Via 367 bus from Stranraer) to East Muntloch Croft B&B, climbing Knockteenan, Bailie Hill, Cairnmon Fell, Barnshangan Hill, Barscarrow Hill, Barnammon Hill, Soundly Hill, Largie Hill, Mount Sallie and Inchmulloch Hill, descending SE to B7065 then Sw to meet track to Low Clanyard, cutting across to climb into track that heads to Sheep dip. I detoured around large field with cattle before heading to the 1st of several knolls, gps recorded 164m @ NX09137 36574, 167m @ NX09478 36464 and 167m on the knoll to the SE @ NX09562 36364, followed by the tricky descent through gorse to the Balloch and up to Cairn Fell....Dazingdale06/10/2017
visited five separate high points to be sure it was bagged. I reckon that the on 300metres NW of the logged summit may actually be the high point. Back at the farm a balck cow had just give birth to a black calf that was happily standing next to mum who still had her umbilical cord hanging out of her.vegibagger26/09/2017
Drummore - Inshanks Fell - Barncorkrie Moor - Cairn Fell - Drummore. Left minor road at 87m spot height, traversed along a wall to lovely narrow col at Wilcombe Brae then winded through gorse slopes. Lots of tops of similar height.Jake99429/10/2014
