From SMB following roughly line of old fence. Nearly stood on an adder on route which was ironic as I had been looking across to Carn an Nathrach earlier thinking that's where they all hang out. Anyway, fortunately it caught my eye wriggling like mad as my foot was hovering above it and managed to hop out of the way. Drama over headed over easy ground to top of DLNF. Took direct route off top aiming for the bothy. Managed to avoid any outcrops higher up and picked up a rough path of sorts further down that navigated its way through sparse the woodland and followed line of wooden posts nearer the bottom before crossing rough tussocky ground to reach footbridge over the Cona at the bothy. Cycled back to Inverscaddle.Jossker04/08/2023
Used FB at east end of ridge on the way up and the other FB, 2km west, on the way down. Summit ridge flattish and rather boggy.govanah21/05/2023
Up Glen Scaddle to metal bridge at the impressive Craigbheitheachain ruin. Stalkers horse route up a grass ramp under looming steeper ground to very defined animal tracks. Continues past mini waterfall then over the shallow corrie main river to ridge and summit. Easy going, overcast damp finish and sadly clouded top.N.Morters23/01/2022
Route from Inverscaddle bay, following track along Cona Glen with lots of oak trees, climbing Tom na h-Eilde before crossing the river nearly 2km further on and climbing to summit of Stob a' Chuir. Continued along the ridge to Stob Mhic Bheathain West Top and Stob Mhic Bheathain. Continued along ridge (with excellent views to the Ardgour Mountains) to Druim Leathad nam Fias and Druim Leathad nam Fias East Top. Descended steep end of ridge to reach bridge over River Scaddle and return to start point.RobertP12/09/2021
Cycled to Corrlarach, bumpy stony track. Across the Bridge of Doom S of the bothy (creaky wood supported on rusty chains) then deer tracks lead easily up the hill up a spur, then across the coire and easy, steep ground direct to the summit of Druim Leathad nam Fias. Along the fence line to Stob Mhic Bheathain, easily down from Lochan nan Stob via the ridge of Cnap a' Choire Leith Bhig, skirting the bumps then down various gullies. River crossed downstream of the island. I think Druim means up and down along a bumpy ridge. This walk is best done in a drought and before the tussocks grow.Gill30/04/2021
Up from Creagbheitheachain NEwards to ridge and via E Top. Superb temperature inversion and amazing views of the Ben, Garbh Bheinn etc. Easy descent to Scaddle.sclater19/09/2020
From E top, via E ridge - a long tedious way over rough grass - a spectacularly dull hill, made worse by 100 percent humidity, and no wind, so the midges were airborne - basically in a one-mam self-sauna suit all day. Descended to good bridge at NM945679, then E along 4x4 track, which ascends into forest - some small ups and downs, but less effort than flogging through pathless tussocks along S river bank. Unable to rest for more than a minute before midges picked up my CO2 and invited themselves to dinner. Useable footbridge found at circa NM985682, opposite ruin - perhaps missed by an earlier bagger.Isbjorn19/05/2019
Up Glen Scaddle on foot, over first bridge and East ridge to summit via East Top. Returned by same route. 15.5k.NormanW23/03/2019
Cycled up Cona Glen to Corrlarach, good track, and climbed DLF and SMB. Searched for deer tracks through breaks in woodlands.Topographer5720/08/2018
3 of 3: From A Bheinn Bhan.ChrisR31/07/2018
Climbed after Glas Bheinn from Cona Glen using bicycle. Left bicycle at NM955722. Ascended direct through very rough tussocky woodland initially. Traversed from summit to pt559 and descended along ridge to north back to bicycle.raffemeister04/12/2016
From Glen Scaddle up grassy southern slopes.Chris Peart15/05/2016
A long trek along the ridge from the Graham. Then we took a direct line back to the bikes, which worked well until we dived into the forest. All very remote and beautiful.jenx07/03/2016
With Jenx. Cycled Cona Glen - reasonable track, to just past locked bothy at Corriarach. Walked about 3km further and crossed to gain third ridge to Stob Mhic Bheathain west top. On over Stob Mhic Bheathain then good if long ground to main top Druim Leathad nam Fias. Direct down off top via a spur to a short fight through woods then river and bikes. River easily crossed in boots/gaiters after dryish weather.nordicstar07/03/2016
after smb cycled up cona glenrobertphillips09/08/2014
Up steep slopes and along east ridge to the summit. Back same way. Not too bad going for the most part.AndrewFinnimore02/08/2014
Parked at the entrance to Glen Scaddle. Along track to footbridge over the river with some handrails missing. Onto very rough bracken covered terrain making steeply uphill for the shoulder. Very tiring, with many rests, and eventually to the ridge and the first of many rusty fence posts that lead all along the ridge. 10.45. Mrs B was here in Oct 1997. Old gates still here rusted open after many years. 2 or 3 family groups of deer moved N as I approached. First top only a few feet lower than the actual top 1 1/2 miles later. Reached at 13.30, absolutely shattered. Lunch. Small cairn on protruding rocks. Time of day and my lack of energy decided me to call off the next Graham. Turned downhill over deer grass with streamlets, rocks and muddy patches to the bottom of the glen looking for a possible bridge. There wasn't one. To the river at 15.20. Then 1 1/2 miles of rough going by the river to a ruined cottage and a bridge 1 1/2 miles later. On the track and to car at 17.35 (8 1/4 hrs).arranc25/06/2012
