|13th and final hill of the day on my penultimate South Ayrshire completion walk on a route from Lendalfoot to Ballantrae climbing Balsalloch, Knockormal, Ballaird, Littleton, Knockdolian, Sallochan, Knockdhu, Big Fell, Smyrton, Carlock, Green Benan and Penderry Hill, descending to the Ayrshire coastal path, briefly filling up my water bottle at the Shallowreck Burn just before it drops over a rocky ledge (pretty spot)and then climbing Downan from the Sw corner. Easy walk up the grassy hill with a great aspect of Ballantrae. Summit lies on NE corner of ridge, estimated grid ref NX07150 80230. Rejoined Coastal path and finished at the King's Arms in Ballantrae. The cook was on his way out but the barmaid managed to recall him in time for my order! Phew!||Dazingdale||18/05/2017|
