I parked at the road end for Dalreagle and walked past the farm. The silage had been harvested but the hill was in the process of being coated with slurry, a delightful stroll, keeping to field edges as far as possible. Aromatic. I visited the Dalreagle steps, water very low indeed, and I reckoned that I could have crossed dryshod with the aid of a couple of poles; just one rather wide gap.Colin Crawford31/05/2023
From parking SE of Kiladam: NX 3610 5632. Fairly direct, via decrepit green barn. Electric fences everywhere but gates surprisingly well placed. One dyke to cross and some temporary boggy ground.Matt14/04/2023
As Adrian parked at the farm, upper field long grass and wet.robertphillips22/05/2022
Permission sought and received from Dlareagle farm to go up the hill. In use for silage.Adrian05/05/2022
The interesting one of the day. Drove down to Cunninghame, asked and instructed to park ~60m S of the house. The stepping stones bit of a non-starter: some missing, some under water, all slippery. Approx 30m S of the stones is the old ford, albeit no longer in use. Waded there, water around mid-calf.jonglew18/05/2021
1st log for this hill! 4th hill of 6 today on a route from Garlieston to Wigtown climbing Eggerness Hill, Knockeffric Hill and Hawk Hill, stopping for lunch on a stone under a tree west of Old Land's Wood then visiting Standing Stone, fenceline crossed to arrive near pond then Nw through Rapeseed field to take track past North Clutag then following stream to arrive at B7052. Road followed to Dalreagle Cottage then climbed fence and gate to ascent Kiln Hill then tricky fence to continue onto Wood Hill to reach domed grassy summit. Great views Northwards. Descent EsE to Dalreagle steps. I crossed the River Bladnoch using shoes at Dalreagle Ford before continuing on track past Cunninghame to minor road. I visited the stone circle and standing stones in field to Nw before continuing to Kirvennie Hill.....Dazingdale05/08/2017
