Parked at the normal area at Coulter Allers Farm, walked north to the track than followed the Girdle Burn. Its an old track, rarely used, more of a sheep path than a track, but very pleasant. This leads to a well used atv track which goes virtually to the top of turkey hill. This same track goes right over Knowe Dod. I then dropped down to a spot just north of the bridge, the river here is not safely crossable, but there are bridges north and south. Very pleasant circular walk with great views of the tight jeans contours of Culter Fell, and Tinto. Met the farmer, very pleasant man, very welcoming.hils16/11/2023
Parked W of Culter Allers Farm in a lay-by then walked the (apparently) private road until E of Lamington Hill. A field gate gives good access over the Cow Gill burn and through the bracken onto the open E flank of the Hill. ATV and sheep tracks continue along the ridge to Turkey Hill and Knowe Dodd, from where the simplest descent seems to be a slight reversal until N of Windgill, enabling a relatively easy descent back to the road.summitter20/07/2023

Parked roadside Culter Allers Farm (NT 0309 3121). Knowe Dod first then across to here over good ground. On to Lamington Hill -> Broad Hill -> Hardrig Head -> Whitelaw Brae -> Duncangill Head -> Windgate Bank -> Hudderstone -> Woodycleuch Dod -> Ward Law and return for a good high level 18.1km walk.jonglew16/10/2021
With Claire. Parked in the small area where the path starts by the Girdle Burn. However, I wouldn't advise it. There isn't a No Parking sign, but the farmer has placed stones partially across the entrance. We weren't too sure if this was intended as a deterrent so parked as far out of the way of all entrances as possible. We'd only got about 1 km up the path when we heard an ATV heading towards us. An amicable conversation ensued and to be fair to the farmer, she let us carry on when learning we wouldn't be on the hill for long and wouldn't have time to go back down and re-park much further away. However, the car wasn't in the way that day anyway and she was making a point more than anything. There's a great ATV track all the way to within about 50m of the top. The views North are vast!MickyRoss02/05/2021
