From the end of the lane near Laudale House, along coast then up hill track from Glen Laudale, and across fairly rough ground directly to the summit. good views of Rum and Skye. Back the same way. | davidpettit84 | 30/12/2023 |
Up via the mast and gully then tricky navigation across the summit area in low cloud and mist. | Chris Peart | 28/06/2021 |
Fast walk up from the road by radio masts. Plenty of Golden Plovers and Meadow Pipits. Time 65 minutes to the top and back. 3.16 miles. | isabelle | 04/06/2021 |
Solo trip. Fine view west to Rum and Skye. | Invicta14 | 20/05/2021 |
With: hb; Parked by end of track to the masts followed this up then up a nice grassy rake to easier ground at top. Across lumpy summit area to top. Reversed route using GPS back down. | Ian Baines | 17/05/2021 |
Took almost a straight line from mast entrance track to summit and trig in 55 mins. Easy underfoot. Golden eagles nearby. Good views. | willyross | 28/04/2021 |
A TWO Marilyn Day - First Beinn nam Beathrach from col on the A884 Lochaline Road - ATV track to Masts then straightforward ascent to the summit - Bit of an explore before dropping to Achagavel (house) then back up its access road to the road. - Then short drive along the A884 / B8043 to Loch Uisge. Over the dam then ATV track rises with Allt Ruadh. Contour south and west around Meall a Chaorainn Loch Uisge to pick up old boundary line - Enough posts remain to take us to the summit of Marilyn No.2 - Beinn Mheadhoin. Similar route to descend | briandavies | 27/04/2021 |
Started walk with Bolton - I ascended via RH side of the obvious gully. A taste of winter with a quite violent snowy squall. Summit clear, cool & windy - good views! | ger | 26/10/2019 |
Parked easily at track entrance to Masts. Kept to the left of the gully and then easily to the summit. Very wet but sunny with a hailstorm. One hour 40 min with Ger. | bolton | 26/10/2019 |
During a solo week in Ardgour & having been on Ben Hiant in the morning, decided to bag the two easy looking Morvern Marilyns. From the highpoint of the road where there are various places to park. Straight up to the NE top & then easily enough along to the summit. Back by the samae route & then on to Beinn Chlaonleud. | NotReallyABagger | 04/10/2019 |
From small parking spot at start of ATV track to masts, NM772572. Don't be fooled by the masts - the ascent to them is a minuscule fraction of the effort you will need to reach the top. Worked up steep toody blussock grass to R (E) of rocky gully. Then easier angled ground to top. In descent, make sure you go far enough E above the gully, before starting down as it looks as if it could be hard to cross, lower down. | Isbjorn | 14/06/2019 |
Short roadside, as others up to the masts then up the left side of the river gully. Lumpy summit area. | N.Morters | 16/05/2019 |
An easy walk, up to the mast, across the stream then up and across the knolly plateau. Good visibility is very helpful on this hill and needed for the excellent views. | Gill | 13/05/2019 |
From Creag Dhubh. | summitter | 07/04/2019 |
Excellent walking conditions, not too cold, windy and dry. Up from the masts as others, over the burn and on to the top. Second Marilyn follows. | NormanW | 09/12/2018 |
From road near masts. | KevPalmer | 11/06/2018 |
from road hp to the east up to masts, across gully and to summit, cold wind all day. | robertphillips | 23/02/2018 |

Ah. An easier hill at last. Nice not to start from sea level. | jenx | 08/03/2016 |
From high point on road. ATV line to aerials then an angled ascent to the burn line, followed to 500m then through the mass of lower tops to Vanessa trig on summit. More straightforward than expected. Back in 1.10hr | nordicstar | 08/03/2016 |
Parked in a layby below the masts, then straight up to the minor NE summit. Then dodged the bogs and rocks along the ridge to the summit. Directly down to the track just east of Achagavel. | Pete R | 09/06/2015 |
