Logged Descriptions  (logged by 15 users)ByDate of Ascent
Parked in lay-by at Divoty Knowes. Followed main forestry track, looping west of Raecleuch Rig, then all the way south to White Hill, just WSW of the summit. Then a direct line to the top, up the edge of felled forestry, with a small but fine path all the way. No bogs or slogging over bad ground at all, on this route! Back by a similar route, but cut the corner at Raecleuch to save time.Toby-and-Dion26/11/2022
From divoty knowes track and gas pipe line then up through the replanted area.robertphillips12/06/2022
From Divoty Knowes picked up the old road gas pipe line runs along side which is a good marker were to turn off the forest track. Followed this all the way with only a short section to the HPAndrew Simmons11/04/2022
As others out to 'old road' which I missed but cut back to then up fence line. High point appears to be tree stump about five metres from fence junction.SS27/03/2021
From Divoty Knowes - good parking (NT 0482 1302). Picked up the 'old road' at NT 0472 1244, a narrow track annoyingly littered with young conifers. There is a very wide and very rough break running parallel, but best to keep to the old road. From NT 0476 1178, followed the fenceline; alternative is a direct route across the clear fell, but in moderately deep snow that wasn't really an option.jonglew26/01/2021
Just walked up the fire break opposite where the Annandale Way heads for Great Fell. Rough and boggy at the bottom but gets easier as you reach the felled area nearer the top. The NW side has now been felled. Good views of the motorway.Thearlaichdubh16/07/2017
The easy route is by following the old fence from the A701 but a bit damp in places with Richard Tibbetts and Rob Woodall.Dugswell227/09/2015
Obvious ride from NNE is OK but boggy at start, better to go from NE, follow Annandale Way a short way then join the ride about halfway up. With Doug and Richard before Colin's quadridonald completion.RHW27/09/2015
On top an hour earlier than Rob, Doug and Richard. Wet going due to surface water and dewColin Crawford27/09/2015
From A701 - Divoty Knowes - old road - gap between old and new trees. Top close to bend in old fence.chrisbien13/07/2014
