Logged Descriptions  (logged by 9 users)ByDate of Ascent
From the road to the north, through Easter Deloraine and up into brutal snow covered heather. Views and spindrift effects more than compensated. Descent to Deloraineburn was rapid and easy. No heather, no drifts. Had intended to follow ridge S but not in deep snow. Lots of sunshinefasgadh17/01/2023
Parked on access road to the Deloraine farms, tucked in on verge at end of one of the passing places before the 'weak' bridge (max 26t mgw!). Farm road to E side Easter Deloraine then steeply up parallel to Stilts Cleuch but ~200m SW of it. Returned over 409m spot height and Ark Kaw. Lots of deep springy heather.jonglew16/06/2022
Parked with permission at Easter Deloraine (NT 3385 2091) - very friendly. Good track south then east. Took gully/cow trod up NT 3438 4939 Then good animal paths to summit plateau and short heathercarole engel28/09/2021
Same route as Colin Crawford, parking on the B7009 by Gilmanscleuch.Andrew Simmons17/07/2021
Track above Hyndhope past large pond and exiting the forest at 340m. Mostly along fences crossing over bwf at wooden gate before the last rise. Back down to Hyndhope Burn and along S side of forest nearly to Dodhead Burn and then back to the car.chrisbien03/06/2021
From Gilmanscleuch, using track past Easter Deloraine to Deloraineburn. A side track then goes well up the glen, almost to the ridge fence, from where it's an easy stroll to the summitColin Crawford04/07/2019
From Weddar Laura along ridge top. Tough, Sparodic atv track to lower left helps. In hindsight using valley track is easier even with more ascent. Heather summit.Adrian20/01/2019
Went NE to point 393 then E to cross Middle grain and up to deer fence, followed this which is rough going to summit.Anton25/08/2018
