Up and back via Isbjorn's route after parking next to cattle grid. Superb hill.Lindsay M24/04/2022
With L. Fantastic hill with amazing views.Janet M24/04/2022
Solo trip, early start before the main rain arrived. Started from the S end of L. Doire nam Mart (end of road parking temporarily unavailable because of civ.eng. works; can park at NM65815322). NE across roughish ground, ascend somewhere near middle of broken cliffline. Then chased along ridge by strong southeasterly. Visited cave . Down by Isbjorn's ATV track.Invicta1423/05/2021
From road end to W. After initial rough going, the going eases & the fantastic shape of The Beinn comes into view. What a super shapely hill - looks Torridonian & is reminiscent of Pen-y-Ghent from some angles. With Bolton.ger23/10/2019
Parked at the end of the public road at 656543. A gap in the deer fence on the other side of the gate gives access to a wet, boggy climb which gradually gets better. The main ridge is a wonderful walk with great views despite the roaring gale when we were there. 2 hours and three quarters with Ger.bolton23/10/2019
Followed Gill's route, great wee hill, rough ground as usual Superb views.iangalbraith29/09/2019
Rough parking for one car at S side of cattle grid, NM657536 (watch your ground clearance). Through rickety wooden gate onto ATV track. The key is to stay on this track, if you can, otherwise you'll be fighting up ruff tuff tick infested scrub, followed by awful toody blussock grass. It parallels the fence, N, to just before the overhead power pole with the reinforcing stay, then goes up R in zig zags, to a 'false' ridge, where it ends. Then up L to a redundant stile on L skyline and an old faded wooden sign. Up over easier grass to ridge above ochre coloured rocks.Isbjorn12/06/2019
Limited parking at Durinemast track end, up the initial bump, and then increasingly steeply up to flatter summit. Wonderful sunset and northern cliff lines...covered in ticks :( but great wee hill.N.Morters16/05/2019
This one is a real surprise. From the end of the public road before Kinlochteacuis, through the gate, then turn right immediately through an old forestry gate. Rough for the first few yards, then pick up an excellent deer track that leads easily up the broad ridge to the start of the summit ridge. Incredible crags fall away to the north, and you walk over a little pinnacle on the way to the broad summit plateau. Splendid.Gill05/06/2018
From the West, parking at the end of the public road to Kinloch.NormanW17/03/2018
parked 100m east at bridge of track entrance along track, up through trees, ground frozen today.robertphillips23/02/2018
From SW, along track for about 200m as far as trees to avoid the worst of the heavy cattle prints. Then fairly direct route up ridge. Cold near gale and unexpected shower on summit.Topographer5718/10/2017
Alone as traverse from Kinlochteacus to Acharn (Black Water), picked up by OCH. Sunny spells and cloud. Missed cave. Rounsfell13/08/2017
Surprising that there are only two route descriptions logged. But it is quite straightforward up from the start of the farm track. Pretty easy going most of the way so quite quick up and down. Great views. A good birthday hill.jenx10/03/2016
Jenx' birthday hill. Parkibg at start of track to house. Cut up at the holly tree to avoid wet scrubby woodland. Follow your nose, crags shown on map for the summit plateau easily ascended on rakes and ramp linesnordicstar10/03/2016
Parked at start of track to house. Took a fairly direct line up easy ground to the summit. Unusually for a Scottish Marilyn there were 2 others at the top.AndrewFinnimore24/04/2014

Place to park at the road end. Walked down the farm track a short distance and then ascended. Reached crags on the prow of the hill and came face to face with a golden eagle. It gave me a disdainful look and then flew off. Walked on about 200 paces and saw to one side what I thought was a large brown bag. Instead it was a sea eagle eating a seagull. When it saw me it flew off, flapping its huge wings. An incredible five minutes.JohnW25/04/2012
From car park - minor road to SWBLACKHILL16/05/2011
Forest car park on Kinloch road. Along road to access track to farm. Directly uphill to first prow. By passed some boulders followed a green trod through ring of crags surrounding the top and on green grass sward to top at 11.30. saw cuckoo fly overhead.arranc21/05/2010
