Parked at Loch Tima forestry roads to SW of the hill fire break to the top | Andrew Simmons | 28/03/2022 |
Parked at end of a new, unmapped, forest road (NT 2574 0597) - up from Seismological Stn. Stell Hill first, then took forest road to Loch Grain and a dodgy break from there to hill top. On to Black Knowe -> Quickningair Hill. | jonglew | 27/02/2021 |
From Loch Tima. For QH took track to FB at top of EC then took straighter way thru trees to tops. Down FB then track to quarry S of BK. Through clear fell and young trees to top. FB and down Black Sike to track then up thru trees over deep ditches to Archie. | chrisbien | 23/06/2019 |
After Black Knowe, using roads then open trees to reach the summit break. No choice then but to suffer the overgrown breaks en route to Ewelair Hill | Colin Crawford | 01/06/2019 |
Fire breaks from signal station. | Anton | 24/08/2018 |
Two car linear walk with mae, Loch Tima to Jamestown. 13 hills, 9.5 hours. Very heavy going on ungrazed vegetation. No tree problems encountered (except where we diverted from route to utilise forest roads). | jimbloomer | 27/09/2017 |
