Round of 4 Hills with Alex and jonathan from tweedhopefoot. Misty with rain and wind increasing through day. Almost a complete circumnavigation of hill on overgrown logging route to save having to walk through 6 foot high soaking wet spruce. Finally made it to summit only partially soaked. | cjo | 17/02/2024 |
Round of 4 Hills from good parking at Tweedhopefoot. in the misty, wind and rain. | Minto | 17/02/2024 |
From Onweather, down through the woods to the burn. Joined the forestry track before making my way up through young pine trees. | JAdair97 | 17/08/2022 |
From the layby near the entrance to tweedhopefoot tweedhopefoot rig, onweather hill, badentree hill. | robertphillips | 12/06/2022 |
Parked in lay-by at Tweedhopefoot. Forest track then break in the conifers from the south then through the conifers which are well spaced to HP.
Onto Onweather hill | Andrew Simmons | 10/04/2022 |
From large layby at Tweedhopefoot (NT 0525 1776). Through the farm then SW, and beyond end of mapped track to fenceline (non-existant) at NT 0488 1649. Followed the break up between new and mature conifers until ~200m SW of the top, then through nicely spaced new plantings for an easier than expected bag. On to Onweather Hill -> Craigmaid -> Badentree Hill for a pleasant 7 mile round albeit over some tricky ground in places. | jonglew | 03/12/2021 |
Parked by locked gate NT049170, up track and straight ahead on path to firebreak on left, up this to stony firebreak on left, on this for a short distance then right into young trees and brash, aim for a tall white dead tree (if it is still standing) the stump in question which I believe looks different to the others is about 20 feet behind this. Gps needed to get this amongst the many stumps here. | Anton | 27/06/2021 |
P start of track NW of TR. Track then firebreaks E then S and track to within 100m of top. Back to track and to end SE of OH. Along firebreak to top. | chrisbien | 12/07/2017 |
Hill now clear felled, so all it needs is a clamber through the brash. A particularly large tree stump seems to mark the top | Colin Crawford | 22/09/2015 |
