Out from Lauder to bag this hill using SUW. Main objective at the time was the Trig. Retrospective log. | Andrew Simmons | 18/12/2020 |
Superb day, superb summit- clear, sunny frosty with great leaning standing stone and trig on short grass. From recommended Black Bull in Lauder. | Denise | 20/01/2019 |
A superb little hill offering ancient hill fort rampart, great views W, trig pillar and a 4m leaning standing stone to play on. All on a frosty morning, bright sunshine and only a slight wind. High point unmarked ~20m E of trig. | RichardM | 20/01/2019 |
Returning from Hogs Law. The standing stone was a surprise but it's surely in danger of collapsing, with a list greater than the leaning tower. | Colin Crawford | 10/10/2018 |
P main rd almost due S of Wanton Walls. Very noisy trail bike event. SUW then followed boundary wall and fence. Over fence to EH then onwards to DH. Back to 315m and followed track into forest and back to farm. | chrisbien | 27/05/2018 |
Bagged as YSM389 Dabshead Hill. Took a great track up from farm and then up to the fort. Interesting standing stone and 2 Pokémon at the trigpoint! Didn't expect that today! | thejackrustles | 28/04/2017 |
Easy to follow the track up from the end of the public road at Burncastle. | agentmancuso | 07/04/2017 |
Walked up from Burncastle farm. Not far as the crow flies but a bit of an up and down route to get to the top. Followed the tracks rather than cutting across the bracken. Good all round views although the approaching storm clouds to the west restricted the view in that direction. Fourth YSM of the day. Off to the Flat Cat café in Lauder next for a nice coffee and cake before it gets too dark. Visited Pips grave on the summit who I assume was a collie dog and not a person. | Walker Dan | 18/11/2015 |
