4 of 6 from the quarry. | robertphillips | 18/02/2024 |
Parked at disused quarry (NT 3771 2111) for a round of 7 hills. Shaw's, Helmburn and Hutlerburn Hills first then an almost exact direct line across to here. Summit a nice little grassy mound in a big clearing in forest. On to Hart Horns and the 2 Dodheads for a 14k round over some good and bad ground and copious wind throw. | jonglew | 07/02/2022 |
After Helmburn using the waymarked track and easy moorland walking. Soon became apparent that there was windthrow up there, although not as bad as the destruction visible on Shaw's Hill. Turned out that there was no difficulty or dodgy trees on an approach from the moorland to the east. Decaying Larsen trap still there. | fasgadh | 16/12/2021 |

P quarry. Track N then E then S. Animal tracks to gate and FB NE and N to top onto Hart Horns. Drizzly. | chrisbien | 16/10/2020 |
From Shaw's Hill, down NE through easy forest to track, clockwise right round trees to NE of top, short distance into trees. On to Hart Horns. | agentmancuso | 18/02/2019 |
Grassy knoll within the trees, with derelict Larsen trap. Another rise to north looks and feels lower | Colin Crawford | 08/07/2016 |
