Penvella circuit from Stobo Village Hall. 1 of 5thekirkie pirate23/02/2024
Good parking at Stobo Village Hall (NT 1792 3696). Track up through Home Farm. Dropped down and back up to Quarry Hill after for an 8k round. Tricky in places.jonglew31/10/2023
Road to Home Farm then track to SE of hill, then partially overgrown track that runs parallel to and above the main track. This eventually reaches a deer fenced plantation, which can be circumnavigated before approaching the summit from the E.summitter25/06/2023

tarcreish and quarry hill from stobo village hall,up the track north of weston burn and back down the track south of weston burn.robertphillips01/11/2020
Complicated but straightforward from Quarry Hill once out of Dreva Wood. Crossed burn at dam via waymarked path and picked up a track fromNT159374 which led steeply all the way to the top - turn left at the top of the long steep pech beside the deer fence. Summit recently replanted and is beside the start of a tower(guess: broadband microwave relay under construction) Great descent, worth the push up. Back to the t junction at the top of the pech up and straight on, go past the Harrowhope ruin and you get a long downhill most of the way to Stobo village. Very scenicfasgadh18/08/2020
