Good road from NE then boggy track south to top which was reminiscent of Dundry Down. | lordtonult | 04/01/2024 |
Parked on track just before the fishing place (NS 9090 5210). Track uo oast Birniehall farm then cut across moor, returned via track as moor quite soggy. | jonglew | 06/11/2023 |
Drove up a little beyond Springfield reservoir, then followed obvious tracks to the summit adjacent to Turbine 40. Wish they would paint the number on both sides. Nice moor ruined by turbines. Saw a hare. | Thearlaichdubh | 20/03/2019 |
A straightforward walk along tracks from the Springfield Reservoir fishery car park. | summitter | 04/11/2018 |
biked in from the cp which is 300m along access road near locked gate/barriers. | robertphillips | 13/01/2018 |
From wind farm CP on tracks to turbine 40; back using the old NS track. | Ken_Stewart | 18/11/2017 |
A706/B7056 junction-Hare Hill-12m trig 2km to west-Carluke. Long walk with Bert and Reg for a tump which may be struck off at some point given the drop and whether the hill with the trig may be higher (difficult to ascertain the highest point in the vicinity of the trig but it may be somewhere other than the trig). | campagvelocet | 29/08/2016 |
Not sure where the car park is mentioned by others. Parked 200m from B715, 50m before gate & height barrier. Used bicycle - very useful for this hill and the nearby Hendry's Corse. Easy enough cycle there and back and no access problems - site security drove by and gave me a wave. | Minto | 16/10/2015 |
Parked at the start of the wind farm access road from the B715 then used the site roads and tracks to gain the summit beside the wall and Turbine 40. | Dugswell2 | 12/07/2015 |
From the CP. Two thirds in heavy rain - soaked to the skin. Top as per AM. Aerial mast in bits just north of top. | chrisbien | 19/10/2013 |
From the windfarm car park off the B715 to the east, Hare Hill, over Black Law on to Kings Law and back past Covenanters' Memorial. 10 miles, 3h35. Top marked by Fenomark c.6' east of remains of wall. | agentmancuso | 01/06/2013 |
Vehicles can be driven up a track and parked next to farm just past Springfield Reservoir. From there its a short walk over some moorland. Hill lies just behind wooded area adjacent to the moor . | Steve511 | blank |
