From the NW parking area, over the wall 2 fields to the top. | robertphillips | 04/03/2023 |
Mapped parking to NW is for community woods on W side of road. Parked there and walked S on road ~230m looking for a field gate, had to hop the wall at the corner. Followed wall ENE ~200m then into cattle field, complete with feisty cattle. HP seemed to be in the pasture, outwith the conifers. | jonglew | 16/02/2023 |
Parked at Gullet Wood. You can shorten the road walk to the farm drive using a path through the wood. | fasgadh | 13/05/2022 |
Park road junction to the north - Up the road to farm track - then the side of the wood to HP | Andrew Simmons | 21/02/2021 |
Parked by community woodland. 3 locals were trying to catch some cockerels that had been mouching around for a few days n not yet gobbled up by the foxes. | Adrian | 30/12/2018 |
Parking by community woodland at NT506415 but no handy gate, so I had to climb the wall. No problem after that | Colin Crawford | 23/09/2017 |
Parking. Up road then track towards Colmsliehill then through field to top. | chrisbien | 30/07/2016 |
Oh goody, a first bag. Shouldn't this hill be called Colmslie Hill ? Blackcock is just the name of the plantation. From the SW, parking in shooting range layby. Over gate to yard, and then right over gate. SE for a few 00 metres, then up left via gaps in gorse (aim for rowan tree). A couple of (not energised today) electric fences to climb easily. Small mound just outside walled plantation. | Minto | 07/09/2014 |
