Visited Queen Mary`s Mount then into the field to try and find the high point.curlebd29/10/2022
Parked at entrance to stables access road. Was dark so horses away to bed. Crossed the fences at the hole in the wall. Couldn't exactly see the high point but walked through enough of the field that I must have been there.JAdair9709/03/2022
Horses! Horses! Horses! - Patti Smith would love this hillock.summitter25/02/2022
Return visit after earlier attempt was thwarted by horses in the field and daylight. Horses still in field, but at far and, and is was very dusk - 30 mins after sunset. Abandoned car on verge by metal gate. Round east end of it and under the electric fence and a quick dash to the high 'point'. Followed by and even quicker return. My Final East Lothian Tump, 6th completer, after Watch Law and Wester Dod earlier in the day,Minto21/02/2022
Should have been my 13th Tump of the day. Having read about the horses I hoped they might have gone to their stables at dusk. But they hadn't, so the pre-ascent drive-by observation was well worth it. Not ticked.Minto17/01/2022

Over a metal gate from road, under the electric fence and a wander about in the field trying to find the highest point.NormanW12/09/2018
At last no horses. Under electric wire into flattish field with indistinct top.chrisbien29/04/2018
From Winton Hill, mostly along the Pencaitland Rail walk. Then down WNW through the woods and a road walk to Wallyford.Pete R25/04/2018
As others, space for 1 car at verge at Backhill, then 15 minute stroll through woods, past poignant MQS monument and into field. 2 inches of snow.Thearlaichdubh26/12/2017

Level pasture, spot ht too far N I thought. Horses there but they couldn't be bothered on a drizzly evening. Then an evening visit to tidal Cramond Island to round off the dayRHW28/01/2017
Parked on littered grass verge at Backhill, up to MQS memorial, then along a fence between two fields of horses. No obvious summit.Topographer5720/11/2016
Not a drive-by and nearly a drive-up.Play2End25/09/2016
Went up to check if the horses were off the field and managed a visit. Field empty and recently disc harrowed. Crawling under the electric fence was painful after the previous day's OTB.fasgadh18/05/2016
