Bus from Glasgow stops close to Cumbernauld hill. I also stood on the crescent.. A walk down the hill and into Seafar wood wildlife reserve and footbridge over the motorway to Airdriehead hill and a visit to the Arria statue.Buck11/04/2024
I could happily wander around this town all day. I actually have in the past!David Bremner10/10/2023
From B&M carpark. No restrictions on Sundays. Climbed cobbled crescent.colazione12/03/2023
Parked at far end of B&M car park, short walk up to church. Difficult to establish a precise HP, had a dig around the wooded patch by the church, might be in there.jonglew05/02/2023

Walked from Airdriehead Hill mostly thro woodland and on cycle path Number One. Pleasant walk apart from Motorway traffic noise.bjewing02/02/2021
Satisfying walk from Tesco CP armed with pages torn out from A-Z to trig, back to Airdriehill HP, down to red bridge over M80 and up to Cumbernauld Hill's former HP at Blake Rd. Continued along ridge visiting all possible contenders. Being a damp foggy Sunday during lockdown felt safe to climb crescent feature. Returned to bridge and on to Tescos without any road walking at all.lordtonult10/01/2021

From the car park to high point, then through the shopping centre for food and back round to the high point again before leaving.Chris Mac01/04/2018
Might have been a nice hill if they hadn't built Cumbernauld!hillsman28/06/2017

64th birthday treat from Cumbernauld train station. Then on to much nicer Airdriehead hill. Better to arrive by bus as the stop is 100m from summit.Thearlaichdubh22/02/2017
Park in Home Bargains then a stroll to the summit to claim the Pap of Cumbernauld overlooked by the Paps Nightclub.Dugswell211/10/2016
A very short walk from the office. Today, I rested on the ornamental crescent rather than merely walking by.Nick Down121/07/2016
Did car park, shopping centre and into the copse. When running over the half crescent one of the local ruffians shouted out ' you are f**king mad''Adrian19/06/2016
On the way to meet pals at the Cumbernauld Weatherspoons. Climbed onto Minto's cobbled crescent moon. Easy when dry. A mini arête. Wandered around nearby woods trying to establish highest point. I'll settle for the cobbled crescent moon.russell6107/06/2016
Early morning, high point on cobbled area.robertphillips15/12/2015
Level area just E of St Mungo's Church (intersected trig station). Nice granite setts feature, natural HP could be in adjacent copse; car park about same height. Late pm Sat plenty parkingRHW12/12/2015
Yes, no problem. May have been here on the bus.Play2End11/07/2015
Blue skies in EK, thick fog in Cumbernauld. Weird, but it made the ascent a little more exciting. Could barely see the church.agentmancuso29/12/2014
Good walk round the streets, I prefer the trees behind the British Legion, but the church/trees would do. Apologies if the photo is not correct.iangalbraith19/12/2014
Date is a mere formality, as a local I often pass this way, though not to the adjacent Fryery chip shop.neimcv26/11/2014
Either Minto's slippy climb or the trees NE across the car park.chrisbien21/12/2013
Who knows where the highest point of this hill once was. I settled for the cobbled 3D crescent moon; it's ascent was quite tricky in the dark and drizzle. Slippery when wet. Nearby buildings are at least 20m higher!Minto24/09/2013
Town centre location makes it candidate for most urban tump.campagvelocet14/11/2011
