Made a marathon out of bagging a few hills. Bo'ness Union St cp. John Muir Way to Nethermill Bridge, back Rd to Union Canal. Stile on R after B8046 and easy up Philpstoun Bing N. Descended gently off W end to track to canal bridge. Over and up obvious path to Philpstoun Bing S. Interesting walk round whole crater - felt quite exposed on SE ridge to get hardly walked S Philpstoun Bing additional top. Back on Union canal and crossed at Manse Rd and took lane round N and E of Clarendon Cres, then S to sub stn. Field edge mainly to Parkley Hill. Back same way to canal to Xcite and round rugby ground to Linlithgow Loch. Colt Hill from path to S. Lochside and Bonnytoun farm to fp to golf course. Fairway to Hope Monument and Airngath Hill. Fp to Bo'ness. 42km 400m climb great day.Lynnebe06/03/2024
As others, parked roadside on Oatlands Park (NT 0049 7634). Followed field boundary, then across arable field for last ~140m.jonglew01/02/2024
Both tops visited.Adrian25/08/2022
Parked at the corner of the housing estate and walked round the outside of the field following the fence. Once I reached a gate to the north-east, followed the tram tracks. The farmer has very helpfully put a set of tram tracks over the summit.JAdair9730/05/2022

Easy access from bend in Oatlands Park, along field edges. Was possibly here in 2009 when visiting trig, can't be sure. Rain came on on the way back down, light fading too.agentmancuso19/11/2021

Straightforward walk from carpark at the top of Clarendon Rd.summitter05/05/2018
From Linlithgow via Oaakley Ave then mostly N side fence (stubble, S side ploughed). Gentle dome of summit was in stubble; high point easting looked more like 01237 than 01267 as quoted. Then on E along ridge to tarmac track down to road and canal.Ken_Stewart11/11/2017
Parked at bend in Oakland’s Park then followed edge of a single large field- half ploughed/half stubble. Finally cut across stubble to “summit”. Grey overcast day with low cloud restricted views all round.Jubilado19/10/2017

A 24 hr Gatwick to Edingburgh return flying visit for work turned into an overnight sleepless 450 mile 7.5 hr drive to Crieff in a hire car thanks to Difficult Jet not having enough air crew. Once work meeting over and 2 hrs sleep I enjoyed a sunny late afternoon 4 hours around 9 tops before a deep sleep on return flight. This was my 1st top - up field track from NW to tramlines through crop to summit.Chris Pearson07/06/2017
from oatlands park along field edge to flat top.robertphillips24/02/2017
From station after Airngarth. Just follow the the farm road round the E side of the housing estate until you get to a gate, up the side of a field, over a barbed wire fence and head for the highest looking furrow. Do not do in spring and summer due to crops. Good view to E and S and NThearlaichdubh11/12/2016
Drove to farm to ask, no one there. Cloudy, grey dry and windy, good views.iangalbraith25/01/2016
Good parking on bend in Oatlands Park to W. Scramble over bank to field edge. (Or walk down the road and back up the track!) Follow field edge (fence & edge) either side works - depending on state of crops. Summit is in the middle of arable field, so careful timing of visit is required. Best approach to high point is from field boundary to the N, following a set of tractor tyre tracks. Surprised to find a trig point (intact - with substantial concrete base) lying on field boundary to W of summit. Guess it got in the farmers way so he dug it up :-(Minto10/09/2014
