From Gallow Hill - well dfended by gorse but followed the edge of the wood to a gap in the wall and a gap in the gorse. Easily then to the topmaknipe22/12/2022
Parked outside the gatehouse to the west then followed farm track to dry-stone wall. Hopped over then to the summit.JAdair9727/07/2022
Parked at Drem station. Then cycled down track to woodland. 8 minutes there, 5 minutes back. Pleasant climb to summit ridge, lots of storm damaged trees. Summit could be anywhere, but near side-ways tree stump between two gorse bushes looked as high as anywhere, about 150m W of ladder and look-out chair.Minto17/01/2022
As others walked from Drem station.Andrew Simmons09/11/2021
A very pleasant walk to and from Drem stationhillsman18/05/2021
From the Hopetoun Monument carpark to Byres Hill, then eastwards over a barbed fence to Skid Hill. Went down the southern quarry edge then along the B-road to spot height 158m, before which is a signpost and style to Barney Hill. continued along the Garleton Hills path to Barney Mains, Barnes Castle, turning north to Athelstaneford (reputed home of the Saltire) just prior to reaching the B1347. Once past the church and just out of the village there is a marked FP northwards on to an E-W track to Kilduff Hill, then a series of field edges and tracks brought us to Camptoun. Finally, along the minor road to the B1343, back over Byres Hill and down to the car as night arrived. 2.5hrs.summitter27/12/2019
Parked slightly back from the T-junction N of Camptoun and walked back to Camptoun, taking the second track on the left towards the woods. A stockade at the end of the field leads to the track hemmed in by tree gorse: wearing only a light shirt, I suffered. Beyond the gorse, the track resumes, leading through a gate in the wall and running S of the ridge. The summit is a couple of hundred yards on, 20 yards to the left of the track, where a tree stump lies on its side in the bracken.Nick Down112/08/2019
Tight out & back from Drem between (Sunday) trains as per Black Charlie's approach.Smudge03/02/2019
track from the west up through woodland after the wall.robertphillips20/01/2019
Parked trackside at NT 5046 7769. Followed track to stone wall, then faint track through woodland to top in dead bracken.jonglew29/10/2018
The pheasant season ended on January 31! I approached along a straight line from Drem station, up through easy open woodland. Down through the massive gorse to the west.Pete R25/04/2018
Flattish summit area with trees , gorse and bracken and no views. Easy access from nearby road.Denise 19/12/2017
From the W along field margins, narrow path through gorse then grassy track to indistinct summit.RichardM19/12/2017
Pleasant stroll from Drem station to N, gap in wall at bend, up on to ridge, and wander around to find HP. Gorse and bracken. Nice views to N on way down.Thearlaichdubh18/11/2017

From w, good track then path N and E side of wall gives gorse free access to level summit area. Shooting on lower slopes, as for several hills today. 4x4s parked just W of summit, met the tweeded occupants on my way downRHW28/01/2017
From the west, took time to select safe parking space least likely to be someone's private property. Up the track and into the wood, where the tracks shown on maps have been reclaimed by gorse, perhaps with the help of country sportsmen who may not want to encourage public access.Topographer5725/11/2015
Walked up track from west with Iain Brown, then into wood and struggle through gorse and over wall to summit.Dugswell227/04/2015
P near pt 82. Track to wood then trying to avoid the gorse.chrisbien12/10/2013
