Solo (C didn't summit). From New England. Path to the West of the kitchen garden takes you to another by the gardens private entrance (involves crossing a couple of fences) which goes right to the top. | MickyRoss | 07/05/2023 |
Mons Hill, New England, Mansion Hill, Craigie Hill & Dalmeny Oil Depot Bus Stop. From South Queensferry Bridges carpark. From New England following track & field S to NW corner of walled garden (where signs say private if you are heading in other direction). Six Tump walk from Turnhouse to Dalmeny. From New England past walled garden to top frustratingly on the wrong side of bwf. On to bus stop and miserable journey in wet clothing back home. | lordtonult | 31/01/2023 |

From Main Street Dalmeny, along the Roseburry estate road to the gate with the trapesium and then up to the flat top with a canopy of trees. Summit to the southwest of the dense trees/bush. | JAdair97 | 19/05/2022 |
From chapel gate on a round of the 3 hills on the estate, damp evening with low cloud. Saw no one. | PeterD | 16/05/2022 |
A long circuit from the Steakhouse on the A90 near Cramond, via Burnshot Gate, the 66m hill above it, Home Farm, Mansion Hill, Chapel Gate, Mons Hill, Barnbougle Castle, New England, the Walled Garden, Dalmeny House and the John Muir Way. These hills feel like they’re rarely climbed, despite being on the edge of Edinburgh. | sclater | 22/08/2021 |
Birthday bag from Dalmeny bus stop. Nice open field then summit. Get outside the field for great view down the Forth. On to New England. | Thearlaichdubh | 22/02/2021 |
Tracks & pastures of Dalmeny Estate after New England Hill. We warily skirted the docile shaggy Highland Cattle just in case, as those horns look pointy. Their thick coats reduce the need for much fat to keep warm, so their meat is lean -and sells well - a good profit source from poor pasture. Hill in sight of the main Dalmeny House (mansion) presumably from which it was named. Half way round a 5 Tump circular from the famous Forth Rail Bridge with L. | Chris Pearson | 15/07/2020 |
Detour on bike round from Queensferry to Davidson’s Mains and back. Parked bike to the northwest and through one grass field to the runnable summit woodland. Two possible tops either side of a big rhodie one rocky the other a mound. | fasgadh | 09/03/2020 |

My last 3 tumps in the Edinburgh UA all on the Dalmeny estate. Parked on wide grass verge at the main entrance and wandered around the estate in the dying light of an early (16:39) sunset due to the clocks changing last night. Hit this, the first of the 3, at 3 mins prior to, plenty of light though. On to New England. | jonglew | 28/10/2018 |

A stroll around the estate with Kathy and cow before bagging this grassy hill. The stile is the key to the route. | Play2End | 04/11/2016 |
Parked near the southern end of the Forth Railway Bridge then used the coastal path for a while before heading south to Mons Hill then onto New England before passing the walled garden to Mansion Hill then back to the road at Chapel Gate and eventually to the car. | Dugswell2 | 14/02/2015 |
